Turkey itself was occupied following World War 1, butchered and divided up amongst Russians, Italians, French, British and Greeks to do whatever they wanted. It's not the Republic of Turkey's fault (after replacing the defunct Ottoman Empire) that the British forgot to carve out a little chunk of land for Kurdistan, sidelining and marginalizing them came from the post-World War 1 alliance that held Turkey with a gun to its head. Now the Kurds want to fight Turkey to claim what is there's, the Turks will not sit around and take the fall for the mistakes of the selfish occupiers. China on the other hand has slowly and methodically uprooted and displaced the Uyghurs through megalomaniac and systematic genocide on their culture and population.
