I can't nor many here could name even 5 players of the current Pakistan hockey team
if anything a strong domestic structure is required
but that won't happen because the guys running our hockey were superstars of their era but just aren't good administrators

we fcked ourselves when we gave up on grass turf and went for an ultra expensive cosmetic turf and also allowed Europe to change the rules to suit itself.

hockey remained unspoiled from the commercial galore and the bookies and I always liked it.

Totally agree with it, switching from grass to synthetic turf was like giving up the cherry. The game has been totally reduced to pace rather than skills. I wonder if the past Hockey greats from both nations could have survived on the turf.

you guys should try to field 2 teams
like Lahore and Pindi
we should even have Dhaka and Colombo
the tournament could become interesting if 4 teams from South Asia compete against 8 domestic teams from India for IPHL crown
i believe it will also increase the TRP of Hockey matches in Pakistan
