Are you saying how much money has changed hands (between Iran and Russia) is well guarded secret? Russian Generals are using cell phones for their command and control. Pakistan PM's office conversations are public.

Wow you fell for the intercepted Russian communications meme?

No didn't say that at all.

Just said that the cost we go off from is $20,000 which is what western intel has suggested, we assume this takes into account all factors (exchange rates, any imported components) and it is the final production cost of the unit. They would know since they have some of the wreckage over the years to analyze.

Cross post from @Shawnee

US general, Frank McKnzie calls Iranian drones very good/effective weapon, a killer for power grids.

50 percent success rate per McKenzie.

Low cost that Iran makes 1000s.

He has witnessed the attacks himself.

Low Cost Warfare.

Western military industry steal public taxpayers money with overrated costs and salaries. And using the bests pieces, i.e: the most expensive pieces.

Iran is winning in the economic way, using the cheaper pieces.

Fighters have been raised to intercept these flying mopeds.

Somewhere in Cherkasy region last night

Iran is exploiting a known problem of western military industry, which is overinflated prices and for-profit weapons.

The quality of the weapons is of the highest level no doubt, but the markups from IP, materials and labour is so absurd sometimes that it may even be completely pointless to intercept certain objects just on feasibility alone.

People who have any moral doubts about Iranian involvement would be good to remember:

Decades of western theft of Iranian oil, wealth and even food in the world wars

France selling jets to saddam in the middle of its war with Iran.

France deliberately selling Iran blood tainted with HIV to spread it in Iran

West germany helping saddam with his chemical weapons

The 40 year attempt at starving the Iranian people

Using several armed terrorist groups in the border areas to attack Iran

Supporting saddams terrritorial claims on Iranian khuzestan

Attempting to destroy the Iranian government and economy and people

The west are the enemy of the Iranian state. Iran should fo everything in its power to help Russia defeat this cancerous tumour on humanity

These savages have done virtually everything to Iran and are having rectal explosions in anger over a few Iranian drones. Thats their racist colonial “garden” ideology coming into play. Non-white euros are considered worthless to them.

Hitler is satan to them only because he did to white people, what they had done to colored people. That act is unforgivable. The british colonialism makes nazi german look like boy scouts, but they dont care cause the victims arent white

Stop believing western propaganda. Even today they have activated their balochi/ kurdish terrorists agains Iran. Iran should start shipping ballistic missiles asap

Anything short of actual Iranian solders directly fighting on the ground should be considered
Very bitter fatcs about whites

One positive feedback

thats not happening intentionally by the Iranian govt though- there is a difference. Plus, those "supplies" are in small quantities, we 've only seen 1 or 2 videos and thats it, if its a real govt authorized supply, many shipments would have happened- its probably just another Ukraine war lie like RUSSIA HAS RUN OUT OF AMMUNITION.
You never know.

Yeah, and it isn't 20,000 dollars, such a drone costs no less than 100,000 dollars
Its main attraction is its low cost that allows it to be used in swarms so that some of it gets through air defenses
All subsystems are consumer grade and not designed for ruggedness or reliability. More like Birdshot than a Rifle. So, cost is comparable to a motorcycle or a compact car than an aircraft.

" this drone is not remotely controlled, does not feature computer vision and mostly relies on consumer grade global positioning (integrated GPS, Gailileo, Beidou and GLONASS) to find the target. It is not efficient against moving targets."

Ah yes Wikipedia, well know for high accuracy. I'm surprised it didn't mention it was photoshop like in the past.

I see the Wikipedia page has change quite a bit from its previous BS. But still somethings are incorrect here, and I made this thread (page 1) to dispel some of these inaccuracies since so little info is available. I mean, straight off the bat the first sentence is already wrong. HESA != Shaheed Aviation company.

Video showing another MANPAD miss

Probably not, but I think from their eyes, it is essential to change some parameters of this war in Russia's favor. Complete loss is not tolerable. The benefits of lend-lease to Iran's industry + testing would be worth the cost.

However, operating these units by Iran can lead to some problems, the units should be used by Russia under Iranian supervision, until they understand fully how to use, then leave.

If this deployment is true, they will certainly try to look for these trainers. But they would also be wise not to harm them because of possible revenge attacks.
Well our policy has always been respecting int recognized borders besides our neutral position in both world wars even still EU countries ask Iran to mediate to end the war, from that position we've gotten to this , we would prefer to be absent in the UNGA than casting vote about annexations by Russia ... which is against a clear active diplomacy that we expect from our foreign policy apparatus. our neutral position got us invaded so it is like tightrope walk and what we get in return gotta be worth it really.
If Putin had managed to take Kiev and then shake hand with Moldova then he would not have stopped there ... I don't see any clear exit strategy over here by Russians for sure the US and NATO would continue to supply Ukraine which makes the war a never ending one .. Putin has lost his opportunity at the beginning of the war to achieve it max goals.
Maybe we could call it new Berlin wall and for sure the US would do whatever it takes to distance EU and Russia ... both sides are guilty and we've jumped in middle.
Instead of invading Ukraine, Russia should have proceeded its plan of gas pipe and expanded its relation with the EU.
