What's new

Serving Brigadier arrested for suspected links with Hizbut Tahrir

Then obviously, it is not a verified piece, otherwise every news paper would have it plastered all over their front page...........

it depends, if its an official stance then its to be in every newspaper, while if its coming from a "source" then its not in every newspaper... lets see how authentic the source proves to be...

"Sources" are often no more than some journalist's guess work....................If the source is anonymous, then it's probably no good.

.
pakistan ka matlb kiya???

When the area that is now Pakistan was a part of British Hindu majority India "La Illaha Illala" was a meaningful expression given a Hindu Majority - today, what you seem not to understand, is that such a slogan is an oxymoron in a Muslim majority country such as Pakistan -- However, it may be that you realize this and Takfiri ideology use this against Pakistan.

sources are anonymous, disclosed only in national interest... basic journalistic ethics of reporting...

These two bit show-offs who disgrace the field of journalism do not have any ethics. An anonymous source, is a non-existent source.

pakistan ka matlab lailaha il Allah meant that we want a country were we can live according to islam!

That's where your guess comes in, I'm just saying that the forces say they can do it, just need an order..............

yes my question is still there orders from puppet agents???
chunnay kakay hain na bicharay, pta nai kiya krna hai!!
wen army knows wat they shud do they dont wait for ORDERS(from our gov)!! they dont overtake gov on gov orders!!

Well, certainly that's what some want to project, however, I'm sure you will agree husband and wife suicide teams, rebellion and insurrection against the legal government, skinning and beheading soldier sworn to Jihad in the path of God, these are not the kind of Islam any of us seek -- isn't this so? If you agree with rebellion and insurrection against the Pakistan government and the beheading of her soldiers, please come out and say so.

By the way, is there not Islam is Saudi Arabia?

If I have not mistaken you, I am sure you will not agree that there is any Islam in Arabia -- and where you will seek your version of Islam, one wonders - but then again, policemen care little for these positions.

No sir,

Jinnah wanted and got a country where muslims could live free----and not according to islam---.

Thats just the point.

Pak has become a nation hijacked by short sighted fundamentalists ...and the people do not seem to object.

Third Eye,

The truth is that paks are in search of peace, justice and security for all----. The only form and stories of justice they hear were during the shariah / khilafat---so that is why this ideology is being hijacked in that direction.

If anyone can provide pakistanis with speedy justice, equality, peace and integrity---they would care less for any shariah law or islamic state----.

.
They don't know how -- just like the ignorant attempt at Pakistan ka Mutlab kiya -- And to be fair Pakistanis and really anybody ignorant, are also generally very emotional --- and Pakistanis deep down, feel very insecure about the kind of Muslims they are, after all, they are not arabs, don't speak the magic language, recite prayers the meaning of which they do not know -- so it's a bit of a hollow thing, I mean you can't just be insecure for no reason, can you??

And of course we have all said it over and over, Zia and Jamaati Islamization -- I strongly encourage you to read Syed vali Nasr's work in this regard, particularly the nature of Jamaati Islam -- You know we have become used to hearing that Pakistan is a weak state, however, in some regards it is a very strong state, most observers seem to discount the nationalism and patriotism of ordinary Pakistanis, and ordinary Pakistanis might suffer all kinds of deprivations, but they are just damned proud to be Pakistanis

Point taken

That 'Messiah' will not come from the sky. The people seem to have misplaced undue faith in the PA who are mere mortals like any other.

The answer will come not from a person but a system.

Is this what the Qaid wanted ?

Jinnah censured a leaguer when he heard this the first time:

Jinnah ruled out “Pakistan ka matlab kiya, La illaha illallah” when he censured a Leaguer at the last session of the All India Muslim League after partition in these words: “Neither I nor the Muslim League Working Committee ever passed a resolution — Pakistan ka matlab kiya — you may have used it to catch a few votes.”

Daily Times - Leading News Resource of Pakistan

It wasn't even a famous quote back then but it came to prominence when Mard-e-Momin, Mard-e-Haq Zia ul Haq Shaheed made an entry into Pakistan's politics.
