Pindad SSX is experimental design for 7.62mm rifle. We use NATO 5.56mm for our standard SS rifle. The design might change a bit here and there when we finaly decide to mass produce this rifle.

i just read that the barrel is Korean made, but its ok as you have very good relations with them and im sure you will be able to upgrade it in the future... Nothing beats having the indigenous technology...

The steel for the barrel had been supplied by Krakatau-Posco Steel since 2014, we are not importing them anymore

Nice. Krakatau Steel also made another joint venture with Nipon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corporation to supply high-grade and more expensive steel for Indonesia’s fast-growing automotive industry in 2014. Krakatau Nippon Steel Sumikin.
