After all, they accepted the transfer of PPP leadership as "inheritance" based on one piece of paper as if it were BB's personal property. After her death, their should have been party elections, which were never held.

So they all should pay the price too.

Every PPP member HAS something to be blamed about that's why they are running. They will probably run away from the country for a while. Apart from Sherry Rehman, the others primarily quit after Raja Rental's name came on the ECL. They were not so safe from the judges even when they were in power, now they are totally exposed. At least wait outside for a while and see if any cases emerge against them.

One other thing might be the case is the security situation. TTP went after them. Most of them survived only because of the police protection they had. That cover won't be there any more. This is most likely what PPP martyr politics would fall back upon as well.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is a new party..it needs some time to establish itself nationwide...I'm afraid that in this situation, PML(N) might form monopoly on Pakistani politics..i.e..they'll win next 2,3 elections consecutively (God Forbid).

If PPP vanishes from South Punjab, and PML(N) fills the gap..its game over for other parties in Pakistan..

in last period of nawaz sharifs government pppp only have 17 members no one from Punjab at least they have 32 members now so don't think that pppp is totally destroyed now they have to work really hard and show good governance in sindh

Whether there are any cases against them will depend on what the next government wants, in our grand old tradition of selective prosecutions as a tool of political revenge rather than social justice.

Your point about security is a good one though. Most of these leaders also have private security arrangements but nowhere near as effective as that provided by the State. You are right about their enjoying a prolonged vacation abroad to enjoy their loot until they get an0other chance to come back and rebuild thier stolen hoards.
