What's new

Senator Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar picked as caretaker PM

Hahaha, told you so!
Good prediction, is it possible that the caretaker government will bring in reforms, just like what Dr Tahir ul Qadri and Imran Khan have been calling for. To make Pakistan a strong 21st century Islamic welfare state. Its in the interests of the military aswell, the stronger the state, the more budget the military will get. Dr Tahir ul Qadri mentioned this plenty of times, he even gave books on reforms to the military generals to study.

Democrazy doesn't work. Neither politicians nor judges are democratic. For as long as it takes the caretaker- military hybrid system should continue. PPP was done when Benazir died. PML-N minus Nawaz will not win majority although there are chances some key politicians can become technocrats in new government. As for PTI that was never a political party. It was written on the wall it won't survive without cult and propaganda and the way they divided this nation deserves to be in the state they are in now. Pakistan needs stability and what better time.

An establishment man appointed by GHQ to do everything except holding elections.

Whatever establishment is doing its because of its illegitimate power. But humiliation is the fate of establishment and whatever it will do, it will backfire.

It is big worry for PDM . No choice was made from PDM. All efforts in ruin.
Kakar was already finalized by general Munir.

Not really. Establishment's pick was Sanjrani. Kakar was a backup in case someone else from Balochistan is picked. In fact Kakar and others were about to join PML-N before he was nominated as PM

No Establishment pick, stooge can solve the problems of the country, with no mandate.

Only a people mandated government can get the country out of the dire situation, the economic meltdown.

People support means they are willing to sacrifice for a leader of their choice, they can voluntarily pay higher taxes, the numbers of tax payers will increase many fold if the Awam are happy with the govt. of their choice.

The overseas diapora can help in FDI, investment when they are satisfied that the govt. of their choice is at the center.

It's about empathy, affinity, hope and aspirations, sympathy and resonating with the people of their choices...the recipe to make a headstart.

Hundreds of other reasons, with higher hopes and higher aspirations, now the Awam are hopeless, no nation can rise with hopelessness as prevailing today.

This simple equation cannot be understood by the braindead duffers, they knew it but not willing to accept it and do the needful.

Alas!!!!
China has done well without 'mandate'; USSR did well without 'mandate'. Things went phut once they went in search of 'mandate'. Mandate may be overrated, at least for Pakistan. Need of the hour is economic stabilization and improvement. Parliamentary debates can wait for another day. If the new guy delivers, forget the mandate for a while and keep him in office as long as things are improving. People want bread to eat, not mandate.

Sums it up well.
Ten years of stability to pull Pakistan back from the abyss facing Pakistan. That's the path forward. The 'Project Imran' failed spectacularly and time to do damage-control.

Probably unrealistic to use examples like China and USSR though.

People should use examples like the U.S. Neoliberal Hyper-Capitalist projects like Pinochet's Chile or Putin's Russia.

That's what Musharraf was gonna do, what happened then?

Same as always - pressure from external forces to take back Bhutto & NS.

Musharraf quote:

"Yes, I agree with you [that charges should not have been dropped]. But then Benazir has good contacts abroad in your country, who thought she was the future of the country."
