Where in constitution it says non-muslim cannot be minister, advisor? Please point me to the relevant section.

It doesn't but it make the ministers, even PM and president to take oath , for all to submit to it. Hell, even PMA passouts give alligence to the constitution of Pakistan.

My question to you , do you have a bloody clue what your constitution says about Qadyanis? Would Atif Main will be willing to take oath? along with all advisors , and submit to constitution of Pakistan, which he should do anyway as it's citizen. If he can, no issues at all. Bismillah. But if not, then get someone else.

My friend I know what you are trying to say. I agree he should work as the constitution states. No regarding him getting this post there is no issue. If keep the religion aside this man is as much Pakistani as you and me. It is his right to do this job if he is capable enough.

I have no issues with him, if he takes oath like all ministers, PM and president, submit to constitution of Pakistan along with all its provisions and deliberations.

Since it has become a sensitive issue, this needs to be tackled logically and according to the law of land.

Someone rightly pointed out that this wont be an issue if there was a Hindu or Christian Pakistani nominated for this position.

Government should contact Atif Main and tell him that listen mate, this is a once in a life time opportunity for you and your CV, come forward and declare yourself qadyani and your submission to the constitution of Pakistan. This is the only way this issue can be resolved. Otherwise, move on to next candidate.

They have west support for a reason they aren ot fool to start supporting without any cause. We all know. Why these kinds not find in Saudia or other part of the islamic country? Why Pakistan only. May be reason is people like you who don't know who is the enemy of Islam and Pakistan just need dollars to get ease for a while then cry for years.

I am least bit interested in this man, before today, I didn't even know that he existed. My concern is my country and its well being, which should not be held hostage to one man. IK and PTI have to do politics in Pakistan and this has all the potentials to derail IK ambitions to put Pakistan on right track. To suggest that Atif Mian is some sort of super hero and will take Pakistan out of its financial misery is laughable. There are many who will be more the happy to jump on the opportunity.

Its a simple equation, take oath on the constitution of Pakistan like all high ups in government, and "Su Bismillah", Otherwise, piss off. Not a rocket science is it?

Two aspects to this story, but which has more merit is upto the education,IQ and EQ of the poster.

1. The appointment is that if a brilliant economist whose far reaching insights might help provide critical insight into Pakistan’s issues and steer it clear of pitfalls.

Genius the oath you talking about is only for PM and President of Pakistan, Senate NA PA CMs Governors CJ COAS etc are all different than above TWO.
Besides PM and president all other I mentioned wording are different and so simple so even a Christian a Hindu and Jew national of Pakistan could be anything.
Or amend the constitution to write down WHAT you afraid of
Read the constitution or google it out with oaths.
