Look he is in power now and understands ground realities. He and his fellow bed mates who were once making statements like "Ghar me ghus me marenge" etc etc have gone sober ...

And what are those ground realities?? is it better then the fact that we indians are nothing but lethargic impotent?? Ironically worlds second largest Army is held hostage by a much smaller enemy!!

Barging into a sovereign state unopposed.... When the NDA was in Opposition, they made a hell lot of noise about India doing nothing against Pakistan but look at what is happening now....

What is happening?? look all we need is a policy against Pakistan...it shouldn't be talk...then stop ...then again talk...the policy needs to be consistent...so far it looks it is...disagree? then plz share your thoughts...

Well policy against Pakistan is quite a tough nut to crack partly because we don't want to give something they want and both of us seem to not budge from our positions. I don't think much has changed in past 7 months... The problem is Pakistan's Civilian Government doesn't have much power(To drive their foreign policies) in their hands which is not helping the cause either...

No...the problem is not in Pakistan...you are telling me the symptoms of the problem...i am questioning the reason behind it...What you are referring to is not a new thing in Pakistan...this has been precisely the stand that we have from ages i.e. Army calls the shot...however what should be our approach when such is the case....this is where we need to be consistent...So far the current govt. looks consistent...however it is too early to give them any credit..

Zaid Hamid looks forward to welcoming you at the border.

OK You tell me how is the present Government any different and how has it been consistent and do you think it is bearing any fruitful results?

What has changed for better so much that the present Govt. deserves the credit?

You have asked lot of loaded questions so let's go one by one...However just to set the records right...i am not a Modi bhagt...though i like the guy(so far..) yet i am pretty clear in my mind that he has to deliver all what he promised..

OK You tell me how is the present Government any different and how has it been consistent
It is too early for anyone of us to say that they are consistent or not..however so far their actions have shown that they are...Modi was very clear even during the poll campaign that barood ki aawaaz main baat nahi o sakti(talks can't happen unless the neighbor mend the usual ways)...Now call it whatever however so far he is sticking to what he said..would you acknowledge that much??

and do you think it is bearing any fruitful results?
This issue is decades old so to say this is going to bear any results is too naive a question for me...however for last 15 years we had two PM's(Vajpayee and MMS) who were very soft and really keen to give peace a real chance...did that bear any fruitful results?? Look we need to be consistent in whatever we do...there is no data to say one approach is better than other...in case you have some analysis to share then please do...

I had gone through the article earlier as well..This is straight forward...both sides are sizing each other...and message from India is clear...Much that we like cease fire to hold however we will not hesitate to hit back if provoked even at the expense of it...i honestly support this policy because i am sick and tired of the inconsistent stand with Pakistan...
