Coronaviruses are not always confined to the respiratory tract, and under certain conditions they can invade the central nervous system and cause neurological pathologies.

Neurological symptoms have been reported in patients affected by COVID-19, such as headache, dizziness, myalgia and anosmia, as well as cases of encephalopathy, encephalitis, necrotising haemorrhagic encephalopathy, stroke, epileptic seizures, rhabdomyolysis and Guillain-Barre syndrome, associated with SARS-CoV-2 infection.

• The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Pakistan has risen to 64,028. Increase of 2,636 new cases and 57 deaths in the last 24 hours.

• Death rate in reference to the total confirmed positive cases is 2.05%.

• 78% of the total positive cases are men while 22% are females.

• 34% of men in the positive cases are between the age group of 20-39. Followed by 13% in 40-49 and 12% in 50-59 age group.

Young people needs to stop feeling invincible and take care of your elders. Reports coming in from Pakistan aren't very great.

This report was compiled, dated 15/5/20, by the government of Punjab. And today the recommendations presented in this report have been totally ignored by the gov of Pakistan. Pakistan after today's IK's speech has officially chosen the route of herd immunity. I don't want to make this thread political so please refrain from political commentary but this report should be the reference for the members here regarding the covid situation; to assess it themselves and therefore shouldn't feel at ease since government is opening up the restrictions. This in no way is going to make things easier for people of Pakistan and government has opted for a dangerous gamble. i.e. herd immunity. Keep social distancing and wear masks in public.

Precaution, masks, social distancing, limit going out. In case some symptoms show up in some one from family, home quarantining and isolation from others. Tests of everyone and separate the individuals with positive results even if asymptomatic.
