If today Pakistan opts for a second national language as lingua franca what would you want it to be?

I on purpose didnt put the option
-we dont need a second language

Just want to have an idea of the general thought over it.

Pakistani's have been trying their luck with English for as long as this country came into being. Its about time that they started treating it as a language and not as a subject.

Every Muslim should learn Classical Arabic, Persian and Urdu. The majority of Islamic works are in these 3 languages.

No way. I'm fine with Urdu only! Take your idea to some other wannabe Sharia republic.

I agree except it should be MSA, imagine how useful it would be for the whole Islamic world.

Non existent. Unbelievable how people are still buying into the idea of an Islamic world.

Islamic region, there is 500 million Arabic speakers already, in theory Arabic could rival English if everybody knew it. Urdu is useful because it is somewhat intelligible with Hindi, one of the biggest languages in the world, and they both share same/similar alphabet.

State should allow all provinces to have Punjabi, Poshto, Blochi ,Sindhi and Hindko as 2nd language in their respective provinces. Diversity of Pakistani culture should become our strength rather than weakness

lol, Why don't you leave Urdu too man. It has nothing to do with you. Also, isn't Pakistan an Islamic republic? Classical Arabic, Persian and Urdu should be taught in every school in every Muslim country. Most of the Muslim history, philosophy, and religious texts are in these languages. So why wouldn't you want to learn about that?

A people who are devoid of their own history are bound to run around the world headless. Just like Pakistan is now.

I don't hate you though because Most likely you are a mummy-daddy liberal who doesn't know what people think of him outside of Pakistan. Unfortunately, some people wallow in their own ignorance. Stick to your Urdu and fobby English because it will keep you boxed in your own stupid hole.
