250k casualty is low end, estimation goes up to 500k casualty (That's killed, wounded and missing) in some report.250k casualties seems so out of proportion.. realistically, i wouldve called out 10,000 soldiers.. Where did you get this number ???
They wouldn't ask for 300,000 men if they only had 10,000 casualty and surely, they would have made progress with those 300,000 men if they had not suffered extreme casualty.
A friend of mine who did this said he tracked a Russian progress thru the rank from being a conscript back in April 2022 and now a Captain rank (or similar rank in NATO) last months thru their VK profile, that's 11 ranks jump in 13 months. That would indicate how seriously casualty number and the need to fill the rank up in Russia
Mind you, the lowest estimate for Ukrainian casualty is not any better they are now at between 180k - 200k casualty
