It's highly likely now IMO that Scotland will become independent. Brexit has unleashed political forces that have deeply divided everyone, and with a slim 5-10% margin (depending on how you measure it) that kept Scotland in during the last Referendum, now with the vast majority of Scots voting remain.
The Scottish Nationalists now have some very valid arguments for independence, and they are also now free of the factor which killed their moves towards independence in the last place, which was the issue of monetary union with the UK or with Europe. The Euro or the Pound. Now the SNP if they want independence should openly say they'll join the Euro, that was what they were reluctant to say before, no they will probably say it.
Although Theresa May could just as easily screw them over by delaying the inevitable till after even Scotland along with the rest of Britain is dragged out of the EU. What happens to Northern Ireland will also be interesting.
