SB.Ali's visit to Pakistan

With the lunatics here that would be an insult
- Well some people have different ways of expressing their opinions. We have a few junior NCO's in my platoon as well who are.. well, for the better lack of words... "too eager to add their input".

Jokes aside, you will find some members are really knowledgeable and helpful, whereas other will simply be throwing arrows in the air. So it's up to you what you take from here. But overall you will find most sane posters to be from Pak.

@The Sandman - Thank you.

While I have you all informative folks in this discussion, would you be able to suggest some Military related sight-seeing I can do in and around Karachi?
- Even though I am on personal visit, I will still be bearing my MIL ID, but I am not sure if bases there accept foreign military IDs to allow entrance; but here in Canada, we do allow them as far as they are accompanied by a CAF personnel.

Do visit PAF museum and PN Maritime Museum on Karsaz Road.

When I visited Pak, same protocol, as long as a serving officer is accompanying you, you can enter. But if you have residential areas like Malir Cantt in mind, then best to just show your NICOP.

- Don't really know any Officers in Pak-force, just CAF Officers... but I will ask around once I reach KHI. Thanks for this.

@S.B.Ali bro.....I would say give all info to Pakistani high commission in Canada i.e your nature of job etc...There shouldn't be any problem as you also have NICOP but why being live in fear and risk....? Tell authorities everything and it'll be ok...

Your worry is right, doubts may will form in authorities if they find out themselves that you are serving officer in Canadian armed forces...

@Khafee What happened to you? Everything alright?

When you mention KANUPP and the immi officer looks at you from over his specs, and mutters under his breath "Aray BC" that means $hit just hit the fan, run like hell :crazy_pilot:

Ok sorry, no more trolling. But since you joined this forum just to get info out of us, you have to give us the CAF IFF codes before we give you any more info.
I have a feeling you are sitting in the office, bored to death, hence trolling here?

Full moon after affects. Moonlight makes some living creatures more chatty.

Lunar cycles seem to affect many of the rhythms, temporal patterns and behaviors of living things on Earth.

Bhai you are as worried as @Aether was when he visited Quaid e Azam. But once he landed he was so cool, he even took a yellow cab, and then a selfie with Quaid e Azam.

Visited Quaid e Azam? Selfie with Quaid e Azam?

@S.B.Ali it would be lot better if you seek professional advice on this, they may be able to tell you the do's and don't's when you visit Pakistan as a foreign Military official on a personal tour. What they tell you strictly follow that and don't even think of going near off limit areas (if any). Have a safe journey and stay to and in Pakistan.

@S.B.Ali I have friends, retired and serving, who come and go on foreign passports with NICOP / POC = no issues. No questions asked.

You don't have to declare anything, just visiting family IF asked, which to date no one has asked.

Lastly stay away from any military installation.

Have a safe trip, drink bottled water, and post some pics when you get back.
