SB.Ali's visit to Pakistan

Could you please create a new thread in Members club so that we can assist you better?
Apologies for the incorrect forum post; I am unable to post there... I believe it is a 'new member restriction'
- I wont post in this thread anymore.

Owning Nicop means you have every right to visit Pakistan and nobody can stop you. If you just want to have peace of mind, I would suggest you to pay a visit to Pakistani High Commission in Canada and they will he able to confirm if any prerequisite formality exists. I am quite sure owning Nicop means you are a Pakistani national and it allows you to travel to Pakistan (constitutionally your own country) without any kind of fear. So please do not worry about it
Thank you for the info, I was more concerned for the family members. I will follow-up with the High Comiision as you suggested - Appreciate the help.

You can ask any question in this thread and somebody will be able to help you out

You could also just apply for Pakistani visa where they clearly ask for your profession and purpose of visit so the authorities would be well aware about you prior to your travel

But I guess it may (or may not) be refused because you are already a Pakistani national and do not require a visa to travel to Pakistan. If you can speak Urdu or Punjabi, thats cherry on the cake and it means they may not even ask you a single question about your purpose of visit.

I have travelled to Pakistan for number of times on British passport and they have never asked me a single question about my intentions to visit Pakistan. Its quite straight forward process which you are making it difficult due to nature of your job.

The best is to consult with the embassy who will be able to clear your reservations

Cheers

When you mention KANUPP and the immi officer looks at you from over his specs, and mutters under his breath "Aray BC" that means $hit just hit the fan, run like hell :crazy_pilot:

Ok sorry, no more trolling. But since you joined this forum just to get info out of us, you have to give us the CAF IFF codes before we give you any more info.

Thank you for this. I was unable to create the thread, this is really helpful.

Just to recap the conversation...

Hi, would you have any source of info where I can read up regarding 'Rules / Regulations' for foreign Army Officers who are also Pakistani Dual-Nationals, and are visiting Pakistan on non-official visit?

@Moonlight - Thanks for the help.
- I am well aware that there are specific processes to follow through individual foreign CoC; usually, when travelling for work, the experience is fairly simple. No declarations about work need to be made and a separate travel passport is issued for Military personnel which streamlines the border services process. I am more concerned about Border Services & Customs once landed in Pakistan considering the visit is personal/pleasure.

If you have a Pakistani Identity card issued by Nadra. They will not even ask you a question about your purpose of visit.

Or a POC - Pakistan Origin Card. No issues

Which airport will you be landing at?

Karachi International. I do not have a POC, however as @Aether mentioned, I do have NICOP.

- I was informed that at port of entry, Customs officers ask what you do and what is the purpose of visit, I am not sure how my declaration about 'What I do' will be processed by them, plus I am not directly coming from Canada, I am doing a pistop for a few days in Dubai as well. If I were alone, I wouldn't be as concerned.. however I will be with family and wouldn't want any complications for them at entry.

Bhai you are as worried as @Aether was when he visited Quaid e Azam. But once he landed he was so cool, he even took a yellow cab, and then a selfie with Quaid e Azam.

So Chill. If they ask why are you here, tell them to attend a relatives circumcision. Well they might not buy that, so just say "Cheel, Kawa, Traffic." If they don't buy that either, then tell them "just visiting relatives"

Ok totally serious now. No more jokes

You have a valid NICOP - No questions will be asked. I have seen colleagues travel on Nicop, no issues.

- Haah.. you are funny @Khafee ... yeah, not happening buddy. Sorry to disappoint you there.

@Aether - I believe you are right, applying for a visa wouldn't work since I already have a valid NICOP. I will try contacting the embassy here and see if they can clear out some questions - thank you.

Looks like somebody have been doing my background search.... lol

Yeah I went to Karachi, that was really cool, nothing as frightening as it shows on the TV, it really felt like Lahore...

Btw prior to landing they might give you a health declaration form, don't bother filling it out. Especially if you are with family, that means 4~5 forms of declaring nothing. When the guys before immigration ask you for one, say you didn't get any and walk past them. They don't have any authority to stop you.

Once by mistake I meticulously filled it out, upon landing I realized, what a waste it was.

- You are gonna get me detained - LOL!

Just a curious question... is this forum 'official' dedicated page for PAK Forces?
- as in are all members actually serving in the forces?

When I visited Karachi... they were literally forcing everyone to fill that form... and I was like... may be due to ebola virus back those days they were being precautious. But when I reached the counter, The immigration officer said he doesn't need this from me... and I was like why you guys asked me to fill up again and again and he replied, this form is for real foreigners... You are a Pakistani as you possess Nicop card... so don't need it...

No such crap at Lahore or Islamabad Airport or may be I didn't travel on those days when there was a lot of hue and cry about ebola virus on television
