it's the duty of govt. of Pakistan to inform first time international travelers, about the laws/rules of the country, they are travelling to.
Many years ago, when ZamZam well was accessible to public, they used do ablution and take shower...

What you see in video is 100% fake zamzam, good job.
No pilgrim is allowed to carry drums of ZamZam and take them out of Haram.
What pilgrims bring home is from certified source, in sealed and stamped bottles, which are checked at airport and than allowed to carry on.
In past govt. was lenient on exports of zamzam but than various govts. of world complain of contaminated water being sold as zamzam.
Now a days, various Islamic /non-Islamic states are on board and they don't allow any water which is not certified by Saudi govt. e.g. UAE, Malaysia, UK, Pakistan, etc.
Still one has to be careful, because there are criminals who paste fake labels on ordinary water, usually unhealthy to drink.

It's just water... Not Holy water... If they didn't pay for it... It's stolen water and therefore no Barakat in it... It is a sin to steal and not paying tax is a form of theft.

I think every pilgrim pay hell lot of money to Suadi govt, why taxing these few glasses of water. It show the deteriorating Saudi economy . Hajj and Ummrah is now way too expensive , out of reach for poor people.

Just because you pay a lot doesn't mean you have license to break the law or steal... Theft is never justified.

No he is not lying , the video voice says if hajjaj dont pay tax and tax is called "girish" they arent allowed to take water. And he shares that men are asked to release zam zam water.

While Muslims around the world revere the Zam Zam water from Mecca, and always take some with them after pilgrimage to the holy city, and then distribute it amongst family and friends taking great caution that not a drop spills to the ground, this is how Saudi authorities after confiscating it from Jordanian pilgrims are destroying gallons of same water. The Jordanians were asked to pay some form of tax for water, which they refused to do so upon which the Saudi authorities decided to show their true colours and love to Ummah.

Area of Hijaz is under KSA's control because all the Muslim countries decided that this area should come under Saudi management. The basic idea behind was that Hijaz belongs to all Muslims, not just Saudis. This is the reason why, almost all the Muslim countries respond when there is a threat to Hijaz.. because while management is the responsibility of Saudis, its security is taken very seriously by all the Muslim countries.. even threats to the Saudi management of Hijaz is not taken lightly.

Over time, Saudis started taking benefit of this area from other Muslims. Non Saudis can't even drive taxis between Makkah and Madina. Muslims can't setup business under their ownership, and while other Muslims have quotas on visitations, Saudis don't have any quota.

Add to the above what you have mentioned.. i.e. tax on Zam Zam.. I am sure it is not imposed on Saudis. So over time, KSA has taken full control of the territory and is now running major portion of its economy to benefit only Saudis through Hajj and Umrah operations.

To please other Muslims, Saudis making cosmetic changes such as beautification of Masjid ul Haraam and Masjid e Nabawi.. and all the Muslims around the world are happy about it..

In the past before saudi came to power serving haramayn was a honor, no money or taxes. They have turned in to billion dollar of industry. Well financing 2030 vision is not easy with the current oil price.
