What's new

Saudis may buy 48 Rafales In Addition to EF.

Rafales are truly state of the art ...
I m sure Indian air force is seriously considering them. I can't wait to see the winner of MMRCA. I would not like to see a half way house where we choose 2 platforms. This is a disaster for IAF as the cost of managing them will spiral upwards.

Not sure what Saudis think about managing multiple platforms.

If you read my earlier post you will see that Typhoon , Tornado , Hawks are from BAE systems which mean "Not Much fuss" and their F-15's have a dedicated facility in place.

Rest the Rafale ?? i think they can deal with it !

BTW Imo , MMRCA Winner would be F-18 Super Hornet or Typhoon.

Saudi has the money to deal with many platforms but I guess India should be a little careful in investing.

I don't have a problem with F-18 but I don't think typhoon suits our requirements. The F-18 if it is bogged by technology denial clauses, I will walk away.

GoI should not decide MMRCA based on pressure from US. F-16 is of-course ruled out given the presence of F-18.

There are multiple reasons for IAF not to go for F-16's.

. .
Are you hallucinating ? :cheesy:

Was not expecting such an absurd comment from someone like you

Cheers

I am not barret.

It has happened before and can happen again IF needed.

haven't you read the statements of an ex Indian Air cheif ;)

And the obvious one is the one we both know. PAF is well known to know the F-16s in and out.

That is an obvious reason that PAF has been using this bird for 3 decades and knows everything about it.

Other reasons are F-16 is a single engine air craft where as you have got a larger area to cover etc.

One thing I don't understand about people here is why can't they have an argument and disagree over things without getting personal, yeah you are not barrett :hang2:
