The Ottoman Empire wasn't dying, it might have not been as powerful as it once was but it was still the last Islamic stronghold left and Ottoman armies were still a force to be reckoned with. It mentions Dr. Qadeer Khan as being close to Saudis. Well, Dr. Khan has himself publicly admitted to trying to arm Iran with nukes to 'deflect' attention from Pakistan's nukes and to help a brother. Similar support for Iran was extended by the then Army Chief of Pakistan General Aslam Baig.

There is a propaganda war to 'divide and rule'. I hope, despite the occasional media flare-ups, Iranians and Saudis are not stupid enough to fall for this.

Soon after Palestine was under the British control, Jews slowly migrated into Palestine in small numbers, Hitler persecution only sped up the process, so yes the Arabs did plant the seeds of Israel.
