Saudi Arabia has reportedly been seeking to purchase Israel’s so-called Iron Dome missile system amid reports that the two regimes have a plan to normalize their relations and unite against Iran.

Basler Zeitung, a Swiss German-language newspaper published in the city of Basel, quoted a “European weapons dealer in the Saudi capital of Riyadh” as saying on Monday that the Saudis were seeking to buy Israeli military equipment, including the so-called Trophy Active Protection System (APS).

The vehicle-mounted system is capable of intercepting and destroying incoming missiles and rockets with a shotgun-like blast.

According to the report, Saudi military experts had even examined the Israeli anti-missile system in the United Arab Emirates’ capital, Abu Dhabi.

Additionally, the Swiss daily noted that Riyadh and Tel Aviv were working together to confront Iran's growing presence in the Middle East.

The two regimes, it noted, were cooperating significantly in the military and security sectors, with their intelligence cooperation having registered “further progress.”

Israel and Saudi Arabia have no diplomatic relations, but they are widely believed to have secret liaisons.

Numerous reports have suggested growing ties between Tel Aviv and Riyadh in the past few months.

In an interview with the Saudi-owned Elaph online newspaper on Thursday, Eizenkot claimed that Iran was the "biggest threat to the region” and was seeking “to take control of the Middle East."

In November 2017, Chief of Staff of Israeli military, Lieutenant General Gadi Eizenkot, expressed Tel Aviv’s readiness “to exchange experiences with moderate Arab countries and exchange intelligence to confront Iran.”

In an interview with the Saudi-owned Elaph online newspaper, Eizenkot claimed that Iran was the “biggest threat to the region,” adding that Tel Aviv and Riyadh were in full agreement about Iran’s intentions.

Israeli minister of military affairs Avigdor Lieberman writes on his Facebook page that the Middle East region now requires an anti-Iran coalition.

Israeli minister of military affairs also echoed Eizenkot’s comments, saying that the Middle East now requires an anti-Iran coalition.

“The Middle East today needs, more than anything else, a coalition of moderate states against Iran. The coalition against Daesh [terror outfit] has finished its work, after Daesh, Iran,” Avigdor Lieberman said.

The Tel Aviv regime has itself come under fire for colluding with terrorist groups, such as Daesh, which has been losing ground against the Syrian army.

But they don't recognize Israel. How can they purchase such high tech equipment without Government to Government deal?
I don't think such Military grade equipment can be sold via private companies channels bypassing the governments of Tel-Aviv and Riaz

BERLIN — The Swiss newspaper Basler Zeitung reported in early January that Saudi Arabia's government expressed interest
in purchasing Israel's anti-missile Iron Dome system to stop attacks launched by the Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen.

The prominent Basel-based daily wrote that a "European weapons dealer in the Saudi capital of Riyadh" said the Saudis are examining the purchase of Israeli military goods, including the Israeli Trophy Active Protection System (APS), which was developed by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems and Israel Aerospace Industries’ Elta Group.

The APS are installed on tanks to detect and neutralize incoming projectiles. Basler Zeitung wrote that Saudi military experts examined the Israeli military technology in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Israel and Saudi Arabia do not have diplomatic relations. But the Swiss paper reported that Saudi-Israel intelligence cooperation has registered "further progress," according to observers in Tel Aviv and Riyadh.

According to Middle East experts, the unifying security factor that has animated Israel and the kingdom to intensify military cooperation is the Iranian regime's jingoism in the Middle East.

"Both want to hold back the regional ambitions of Iran," wrote Basler reporter Pierre Heumann, who is based in Tel-Aviv, of Saudi-Israeli military ties.

The Houthis have launched ballistic missiles at Saudi Arabia's capital, airport and the king's residence. Saudi Arabia and the United State accuse Iran's regime of arming the Houthis with missiles and military aid to destabilize the region.

Three Houthi missile attacks have been launched into Saudi Arabia within a two-month period. Responding to a December Houthi missile attack, the Saudi-led coalition spokesman in Yemen, Turki al-Maliki, said: “This aggressive and arbitrary act by the armed Houthi Iranian group proves the continued involvement of the Iranian regime in supporting the Houthis ... with the aim of threatening the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”

Al-Maliki said “the control of Iranian-made ballistic weapons by terrorist organizations, including the Houthi armed militia supported by Iran, is a threat to regional and international security, and the targeting of populated cities is contrary to international humanitarian law.”

Oh man! Do you want them to reveal their brotherhood with Israel so soon?!!! Not before killing all Muslims in the name of Shia-Sunni war? Com'on

UAE the little trouble maker doesn't recognize Israel too, but how come Israel had a big room in Dubai military exhibition to show their military products. How long are they gonna fool us?

Bro I get how u feel. But the concept of ummah is very crucial to muslims. It was goven to us by our beloved Prophet(PBUH). Theres a difference between rich stuck up, arrogant muslims( The Ultra Rich class, The rulers etc etc) and the people's wishes. Who have different wishes from the rulers etc.

They are oppressed in the same way Pakistanis are oppressed by their leaders.
Its the global elite vs common people.

Besides if the Saudis dont warm up to Israelis then how will the dajjal reach gates of Madinah(Ahle Saud have been building a palace for him in Medina...google dajjal palace medina).
The Ummah Rises.

Sir i was talking about pure military procurement point of view. Not diplomatically.
How can one buy weapons from a country legally without recognizing it?. For Example can you buy weapon systems from Taiwan by any means? Even if your government have no hostilities toward Taiwan

If people truly cared about the Ummah they would help the state of Pakistan get back on its two feet again and start thriving. How can you help other muslims in needs without your house in order? The message behind Ummah has been lost because idiot Mullahs (some of which are on foreign payroll by the Arab states) have convinced a lot of our population that it means dying for Arabs. No matter the cause. You want to stop the global elite and help common muslims then help Pakistan reach a suitable level of statehood. Only then can we do anything meaningful. People that are ready to destroy Pakistan for Arabs and other foreigner states deserve no sympathy and sure as hell aren't going to get it from me.

True, they cannot officially buy it, but i think that they can deal in black market.

If they could rent terrorists from "Black Water", they can deal with Israel in the back door relations.

I've seen this mullah stigma with my parents as well. And rightly so. The traditional mullah in Pakistan is largely jaahil. Such mullah wont even be qualified to clean streets in Makka. Even some supposedly properly educated ones.

Thw thing is that many fundamental and basic conventions of Islamic theology are neglected by such Mullahs. Hence we see a massive culture of blind following(Takleed), overly romanticized version of Islam where anyhting goes and the boundaries are very vaguely defined is popular in Indo-Pak subcontinent. Hence this jahaalat and extreme "ishq" without any proper theological training fans extremism as we see today.Indo-Pak subcontinent is the shirk and biddat capital of the world. Where you will find the most amount of fabricated hadis circulating wildly. And no way of seperating fact from fiction in Islamic affairs. Hence the popularity of mullahs, pirs, babas etc etc.

Another aspect in this perpetual cycle is the common man who is not very educated in such affair and needs a quick fix so he goes to the local Mullah shop to shop for a suitable fatwah. So his jahalat perpetuates the jahalat of the mullah.

Hence making far more easier for u to come here and malign the concept of Ummah. With only understanding of largely perverted Subcontinent version of lslam.

We all know what the state of muslim world is like today.

But what u do is gonna make people even more pessimistic.

The bottom line is:
You have to keep in mind that. Islam and its sub concepts are a highway.

The muslims are the cars travelling on the highway.
Some cars are very old, bad, broken. And some are very new, clean and shiny.

To believe me or not is entirely upto you.
And Allah knows best.

piss propaganda tv.
Combnined with Usraeli propaganda and wishful thinking articles.. based on social media metrics and statistics that show a lot of Muslim envy and hate toward Saudi Arabia.. all the Usraelis and Iranians, Houthis..etc have to do is to try to capitalise on this Muslim ignorance and add more oil to the fire of low emotions publicly stated against the cradle of Islam.. and they still think they are real Muslims, while deep inside they hate themselves and their social conditions in their own countries.. and project it on KSA by envy of its wealth.. they forgot that Allah Subhanaho wa Ta'ala gives wealth to whom he wants..

What about the Patriot PAC-3 and the coming THAAD and S-400..on top of a dozen short range air defence systems.. It just shows all these haters; Usraelis, Iranians, Houthis...etc, are crying about it..each one in his corner..
