I am completely pessimistic regarding helping any country what so ever. We help them today tomorrow you will see column writers saying it was to support terrorism. So in my opinion it is not our business.
Mosa, this is Yemen! our closest brothers. They are in their worst times, and you should help if you can. We are all don't have a shoulder to lean on in times of need but eachother. So, put a piece of sweet in it.
My Gosh! After seeing these clips of poverty in Yemen, Pakistan looks like a paradise!
Why is Yemen so poor?
Civil war. Separatist Houthis to the north. Al-Qaeda controlled provinces to the south. And corrupt government.
Lebanon indeed didn't deserve a single Riyal. This time its different, we were having a thumb war with the Iranians over Lebanon and we lost because of our government stupidity of solving every problem by only throwing money. Yemen on the other hand, we are trying to prevent them from falling into complete chaos and becoming a failed state. We don't want another Somalia right next to our borders. Moreover, the Yemenis are starving! They need food urgently. Its our duty to help as much as we can.Unfortunately we have a long history of helping countries that ended up turning its back on us and terrorism accusations. So in general I am against a single penny going outside our country in Aid. All of this should be invested in country to better it. Wither in Infrastructure or Industrial funds.
Look at Lebanon for instance: We helped them with countless Riyals in aid money and even made the famous Taif treaty which ended the civil war there. We built a huge amount of its infrastructure and now its TV is a miniature PressTV.
Look at Iraq: We helped them in their war and saved them from starvation and they ended up invading us.
Look at Afghanistan: We gave them countless amounts of Aid and they ended up hosting Al-Qaeda which is vowing to destroy our country.
The list goes on and on and on. And to top it all of we are blamed day and night of supporting terrorism. Seriously to hell with them I say. Let them starve and die starving if in the end they won't even say thank you. Instead of acting like a good Samaritan abroad how about being a good Samaritan in house for a change??

I am well aware of this, but didn't u ask yourself, who are accusing KSA of this? they are few people who have the same agenda and religious background, but others do love KSA. Don't look at the little empty side of the glass. When KSA supports Yemen, she is actually helping herself, in other words, poverty and illiteracy will automatically lead into terrorism, extremism right next to KSA soft side. If KSA don't play a prominent role in plucking Yemen from this mud trap, somebody else will play it and fill the gap, -hint-: Iran, USA. Iran would absolutely be more than happy to turn Yemen into another Lebanon, and Huthies into an another Hizbullah. Believe me, KSA popularity is getting more than ever before everywhere. And that's why Iran is getting mad, it didn't use to see KSA with this enormous influence. If KSA don't fill the gaps in the region, someone else is absolutely going to. The last thing KSA want is US invasion of Yemen in excuse of Qauda, or another Iranian colony. If you don't fight outside your borders, you will get to a point where you will find yourself fighting in your own home, by then, it will be too late.Unfortunately we have a long history of helping countries that ended up turning its back on us and terrorism accusations.
