Saudi Arabia vowed on Tuesday that it will hold those behind the death of citizen Jamal Khashoggi accountable for their “shortcomings regardless of who they may be.”

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz chaired a cabinet session during which the ministers stressed the Kingdom’s Islamic values.

The ministers, meeting in Riyadh, said that Saudi Arabia was founded on Islamic Sharia law, the principles of which are built on achieving and upholding justice.

King Salman’s orders in wake of Khashoggi’s tragic death and the Kingdom’s measures to uncover the truth demonstrate their keenness on the security and safety of all Saudi citizens.

This reflects the Kingdom’s determination to not only hold those responsible to account, but to also impose correctional measures.

The ministers hailed King Salman for ordering the formation of a ministerial committee, chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, to restructure the general intelligence presidency.

King Salman then briefed the ministers on the details of his telephone call with Egyptian President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi and the meetings he held with visiting Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan.

In addition, the ministers highlighted the second Future Investment Initiative forum that is currently underway in Riyadh.

They stressed the importance of the major deals that will be signed and investment projects that will be discussed at the event as part of the Kingdom’s drive to diversify its economy in line with its Vision 2030.

Jokes of century . You are going to punish those carried out the order not the actual man behind the killing.

So when an army kills innocent civilians by mistake in a raid..do you blame the president, and the prime minister or even the defence minster.. or the field officers and planners?

Look your officials werent fooling anyone at day 1 and they arent fooling anyone today either.
Who else except the royal family would want his death? It makes no sense at all, in the end someone will be lamed for it but not the real culprits.

Btw: why is there travel ban on Khashoggis son?

You were on fight with unarmed single Jamal inside your consulate office ?
Nobody believe MBS's close aid would do without his knowledge.

Actions speak louder than words.....

Saudi officials refuse to allow Turkish police to search water well in consulate amid Khashoggi probe

Saudi officials have refused to allow Turkish police to search a well in the garden of the kingdom's consulate in Istanbul as part of the investigation into the killing of journalist JamalKhashoggi, the state-run Anadolu Agency reported on Oct. 24.

Authorities have previously carried out inspections at the consulate and consul general's residence in Istanbul as part of the investigation.

Khashoggi -- a Washington Post contributor and critic of the crown prince -- was killed after entering the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on Oct. 2.

After more than two weeks of vehemently denying Khashoggi was dead, the Saudi government on Oct. 20 said he was killed in a fight inside the consulate and said the murder was not state-sanctioned.

Turkey is conducting its own investigation into the killing but it remains unclear where the body of Khashoggi is.

Khashoggi was a US resident and had lived in self-imposed exile in Virginia since 2017, shortly after the powerful Prince Mohammad bin Salman was appointed heir to the throne.

How is this example even relevant? Is the Saudi Govt at war with its own citizens? Did the Saudi Army conduct a raid on its own consulate in Turkey? Was Khashoggi killed by mistake? Who was the intended target then?

You joking right? It is an assassination carried out in a foreign country against a civilian. You could have justified it if the target was a spy or defector but he was just a journo.
It was not a legitimate military operation and the only crime the target has done is criticize the Saudi royals and "accidentally" killing civilians and mutilating them is completely different.

You should concentrate on the field officers in my example.. and kashoggi might have been a spy too, he worked as media advisor to the Saudi ambassador in London and Washington.. but still KSA had nothing to gain from his murder, he was not a very bad critic of Saudi policies, there are worst than him..and have not been harmed!!!?

Since when did media advisors became spies? Are Saudis that big idiots?
It has been revealed that the Saudis tried to kill many other critics by luring them into embassies. Sadly Khashoggi was the unlucky one
Fo people in the region always make stupid excuses like this? Do people that die in fist fights get mutilated? You comparing his murder to a military raid is even dumber.
You don't ny "accidently" kill, multilate and then hide body parts of a journalist in another country.

I told you to concentrate on the field operatives and their officers, no one knows why he was murdered!
And only idiots can't believe that the world of intelligence is intertwined with the world of Journalism// as well as for the Saudis to try to lure other critics to their embassies to kill them..Killing a critic is much easier than that.. you just pay criminals to do that and you stay clear of it..It is only idiots who think that Saudis are idiots..
KSA has just announced today that the murder was premeditated..concluding after what the joint Saudi-Turkish investigation team has found.. and the suspects are already under arrest in KSA..

Yeah Mr. MBS fan only idiots believe that people can't get mutilated in fist fights and journalists are spies.
Too bade what Saudis called stupidity is called intelligence everywhere else. Saudis are so idiotic that they can't even make up a proper excuse and then expects people to believe it and here you are making more idiotic excuses that won't even fool a 10 year old these days.

What right does the Saudis have to launch a military operation in Turkey, abuse diplomatic privileges and "accidentally" kill and mutilate a person?
Also its not the officers but who ordered the officers that's at fault. People close to MBS that take orders from and have been using Saudi resources without the knowledge of our poor little baby prince. The Tiger Squad loved the baby Prince soooo much they decided to kill everyone that dares to criticize him
