Saudi petrochem giant opens tech centre in Bangalore (India)

We don't tend to have such a view point on the issue like sanction or whatever. But without the Saudi effort during the Kargil war, and 2008 crisis, things could have gotten ugly.

You mayn't be a politician but I appreciate your opinion.

What Saudi Effort would that be ? :what:

There is none as far as I know of or I've heard any of the major stakeholders talk about !

We pressured both sides - along with the Clinton Admin in 1999 - and we sent our FM & Vice MoD to India in 2008. Ever asked yourself why and when did we sign the counter-terror agreement with them?

This year, the former Saudi intelligence chief attended the Mumbai memorial, and to discuss the climate between both of India and Pakistan ..

.
Nor was I expecting the Palestinians to rush into battle for us - So help me God if I ever relied on Arab Military Prowess which is an oxymoron to be fair !

But it certainly wouldn't kill the Palestinian Leadership to reciprocate our fraternal ties with words in kind but no that would be asking too much of an Occupied Nation after all their ability to 'speak' even when visiting Pakistan too is suffering from the aftereffects of what they call an 'Apartheid' !

I don't expect anything of the Arabs or the Iranians - History has proven otherwise !

Therefore you would never hear me complaining or supporting one against the other on an issue !

No i understand that part i, for one, don't support either KSA or Iran against each other in their battle for supremacy but considering how brotherly Saudis feel towards Pakistan, which by the way can only be true on an individual level, they haven't shown us any real support when we needed it against India be it on our stance on Kashmir or elsewhere.

.
Well, I spoke about Nawaz Shrief and exposed him to many Pakistanis here including @Pakistanisage @Armstrong as well as Aeronaut.

Whether Nawaz became the new PM or not or whoever made it to the office, Saudi-Pak relations won't change and that's what your fellow country man @Aeronaut stated.

For the IT, I might agree. They could have moved the business to Ireland for example, but wages are going to be way higher.

India is a country producing highest No of Graduate(Quality wise also) in Chemistry. What India lack is research facility. If you you have money to provide that (Which SA has), You will be a winner.

.
Then I think its only fair for us to recognize Israel & reap the benefits of that partnership just like the Turks did for so many years before things turned sour !

What has the enmity - one that isn't even our own - brought us ? Nothing !

Reciprocity !

Why do you care about our issues ? Because we're Pakistanis !

Why do we care about your issues ? Because you're Turks !
The world doesnt work that way,and you know that.
If you had relations with Israel and the Arab world at the same time, you would have benefitted from Israeli expertise in many fields(like we did).
The Palestinian issue could be solved soon, all is possible.
You should use your diaspora in western countries,as we did.
Do business with all and when you stand strong then make your choices.
To all that are disapointed/angry,you shouldnt be just accept things as they are.
Btw,Pakistan and Turkey,do we have choice?(you love Hazal Kaya).
Doing what you allways do:coffee:

I've never heard anything about this from anyone who is anyone ! :undecided:

None of the stakeholders, none of the books written on Kargil that I've read or anything about '08 has ever revealed that information to me !

Like what nuking them? Anyway, Herein are two statements from the OIC - which rejected India's request to join in over Kashmir -

Ihsanoglu: OIC fully supports Kashmir cause | Arab News — Saudi Arabia News, Middle East News, Opinion, Economy and more.
Kashmir: Saudi Arabia reaffirms support

Well, this is what I was told here when I came ~3 years ago.

I'm not assigned to the subcontinent though.

Nor have I suggested anything otherwise !

If I'm guilty of something it is 'naivete' & expecting 'reciprocity' !

Sending our boys to fight in every single one of the Arab-Israeli Wars was a mistake !

Supporting Palestine was a mistake !

We should've been aloof to all of that !

.
Like boycotting or sanctioning India? This will harm Pakistan too much.

Another fact is the Muslim population of India, it still means to the conservatives, but not equal to yours.

Do you really think king Abdullah is a idiot
This was possible under previous king but not Abu
Why will SA sanction or cut thier diplomatic relations with India which is poised to be biggest buyer of Saudi oil & is also heading towards becoming a tech power
For pakistan which is surviving on AID
Thier only achivements are making Nukes not even Nuclear reactors (they are very behind in making nuclear reactors) & some missiles
The odds are stacked against us :azn:

You don't have the nukes to nuke anybody lol And you call this support?? You only find two options either you think you should nuke a country or its just lip service as if there are no middle grounds.

I don't think it was a mistake but then again we can disagree on that :-)

I just hope India - Saudi relation just stays like what it is now. Let the pakistanis reap the benifits of what saudi brings. :)

Pakistan only needs to solve the internal problems, they have enough minerals to become a G20 country, only talking bout the minerals.
Pakistan has many economic gains from ''ínner peace''.
What aid is Pakistan surviving on ?

So the 'terrorist funding, fundamebtalist wahabi, oil barron, Muzzlim money' from 'lizard eating, throat cutting, backward Saudi Arabia' being injected into the 'world's largest democracy' the all perfect 'shining India' is now 'kosher'???

@Yzd Khalifa @al-hasni @JUBA @Mosamania

You evil, viagra consuming sand lickers must be 'honored' to have the 'next superpower' and the 'bastion of human equity' accept your 'investment'...ain't you. :D

oh boy, the things money makes these otherwise hibitual Saudi bashing Indians do...... Never mind.. :coffee:

Hypocrisy?

It is your forum man... and you know very well too that were you to not delete every single post critical of your land of God, you wouldn't see even a shred of what you are implying here. US too was disliked by India just as much, but if the money does any good, why stop it? They changed their stance and India is good with it. Same goes with China, and you know what the relationship hinges upon - $65 Billion of trade every year.

In fact, Pakistan is the only country that appears to base its trade upon how 'likeable' its trade partners are. Doesn't really help the economy, or the commoners, does it?

Take my advice man, don't take these things on personal level. Just enjoy your life, and try to be happy. All this venom will eat none but you from within.
