Saudi petrochem giant opens tech centre in Bangalore (India)

If you mean Texas Instruments. Oh yeah...

They are looking to dig in I think. I spoke to one their guys the other day and he told me how TI streamlines orders from India in a bid to gain more ground. They even send the free samples for students on time.

Yes I meant Texas Instruments. That Center has generated huge amounts of Tech for the parent organisation; not to mention their own Patents by the bagful.
They have been in Bangalore for over two decades.

Some Pakistanis like us and some Indians like us. Some Pakistanis hate us and some Indians like us. Both on this forum and in real life.

We are not part of the Saudi Arabian government or part of the decision making process. Or part of private companies. We are only private individuals that raise our opinions on an internet forum.

I as an Muslim and Arab will always have a special affinity to Pakistan and its people due to the historical ties and my impression of Pakistanis in real life.

For that reason I would prefer if our country (KSA) would not have ties with India that could damage those with Pakistan.

So I don't know what to say about this news.

At the same time ties between Arabia and India are 5000 years old and India has nearly 200 million Muslims. We have also 2.5 million Indians in total in KSA and most are good people and fellow Muslims.

@Aeronaut be rest assured that 99,9% of all Saudi Arabians will stand by with Pakistan and Pakistanis in any worst case scenario and if they do not you have the license to topple our regime. How about that?o_O

yeah,sure.

Is even 5 words in this lengthy speech believable?

Are you doubting that 99,9% of all Saudi Arabians would stand with one of our best allies and most close historical allies since the birth of both of our nations instead of India? You really believe that? I don't think you know the close relations between KSA and Pakistan and its people.

That does not mean that we have a problem with Indians. I have nothing against Indians and I have had good experience with the Indian community in KSA, mostly of a Muslim background.

So what is left is you doubting the 5000 year old historical link between Arabia and India. For that consult the source and author below:

Trade and cultural links between ancient India and Arabia date back to third millennium BC.[1]

I don't mind being insulted by people whom nothing else can be expected of. They don't like the truth, they get frustrated so, Let it be ;)

what you said is known to every member here, aero just wanted to troll thats all.
I have argued with many anti saudi pakistani members ( I dont hate or love saudis, they are just normal like rest) for posting offensive posts and I can guarantee they will be much more than anti arab posts by Indian members.
I am in no way implying Indians are pro arab, but our expectations are modest(wrt ksa), so we dont get offended/sad uncessarily. Pakistanis will kiss your hand, lick your feet and hurl abuse when you dont take note. They look upto you guys.

Look the KSA-Pakistani relationship and the relationship between ordinary Saudi Arabians and Pakistanis or just Muslims as a whole is WAY more powerful, stronger and close-knitted than you can imagine. And even 1 million insults towards us Arabs or Saudi Arabia as a country would change that or even if we did it the other way although we have no intention of that and it would also be ungrateful since we are hosts here.

Let me tell you this. There are Indian users of different ethnic and religious backgrounds that I held in high regard. Then there is also, unfortunately for you, a very vocal group that hates Islam, Arabs and KSA with a passion. They think that we are the root to all evil despite us not even being the Mughals who were Mongolians mixed with Turks originally. So all their hatred for the century old Muslim rule in India is generated at the country where Islam originated and which many view as the epicenter of "Islam's faults".

Then they use a few unfortunate cases where savage Saudi Arabians or other Arabs are behaving as savages towards some Indians and South Asians to label us all in that way and put us in to the "evil Muslims, Arabs" etc. pocket.

The one @Aeronaut imitated in this very thread to pinpoint that hypocrisy.

The Pakistanis who don't like Arabs or KSA are mostly those who don't like our regime. Not necessarily us as Muslims and persons. Or Shia Pakistanis who think everything that is wrong with their lives or situation is the fault of KSA.

So there are two 2 groups.

Aside from the last group of people who are Pakistani immigrants to the West and who look down upon every Muslim country and civilization because they consider their host nations (West) as the holy grail and thus look down upon a country like KSA.

I could mention some names - a user starting with D and ending with x (in two words) and a few others where I have noticed such behavior.

But I have no doubt that the Pakistani group here and that in real life which consider us as their good old ally and Muslim brothers would be trusted to such an extent that I would have no problem for them to look after my nephews or children when I one day become a father.

We live around Pakistanis and Indians in KSA. I have known Pakistanis and Indians as long as I have known Saudi Arabians and Afro-Arabs. You notice certain thinks and after all this is just a forum. We are not like this in real life when we have a discussion or troll.

Sorry for the wall of text. Can't help it. This is also practice for me in English since it is not my first language.

You have hit the nail on the head. Many of us including myself are critical of the Saudi Monarchy if and when they screw up something. That we do because we genuinely care about the KSA.

Our relations ain't engraved in cash... they can't change - period.

No, not at all. The user I was talking about was Desert Fox. I am talking about this category I quickly mentioned:

Aside from the last group of people who are Pakistani immigrants to the West and who look down upon every Muslim country and civilization because they consider their host nations (West) as the holy grail and thus look down upon a country like KSA.

From past debates and from his posts I could gather this. That is MY analysis and I might be wrong. This is not maths. And it is in no way to insult him or anybody else. That is just something I noticed. Just like everyone here can notice that we Arabs and Iranians (unfortunately) often have childish discussions. This might not be truth for some members but for most it is. In the same way I may have witnessed certain trends that are not fully objective on that users overall views but anyway that is what I have witnessed.

I accept criticism of the Islamic world. There is MUCH to criticize from people not following Islam well enough, not knowing it enough. to corrupt leaders, to people who use Islam for their personal gains, for people who kill unlawfully in the name of Islam etc. We know that such problems would persist as long as people are alive. It is our obligation to limit that number although I never believe that they will be fully gone. But one can limit them to a very low influence. Just like you can remove the worst criminals but maybe not always the root of the problem or all the smaller criminals. Do you know what I am referring to? Or is it getting too abstract?

Prophet Muhammad (saws) and Islam already tells us about such problems very directly. From Muslims creating sects to people of falsehood to persons of evil deeds.

Look I currently live in Denmark, Copenhagen. But I was born in the Middle East and grew up there although I have been lucky enough (or the opposite - depends on how you look at it) to have lived in France for a few years and to have studied 1 year in the US. This has given me a better perspective to observe the societies I lived in from a close bay, including the Muslims living there, and to make a comparison to what i have witnessed in the Middle East. This has made me draw some conclusions, the might very well be wrong, but they are nevertheless my conclusions based on personal experience, observations etc.

Among what I have observed are those groups of people I quickly named. And they will have no influence in the close ties between KSA or Pakistan.

As I told you I have known Pakistanis and virtually dozens of people of various ethnic, national/religious backgrounds living in KSA, as long as I have known local Saudi Arabians and I think such a long time and such close interaction with dozens of people for years since my early childhood can allow me to observe some trends that I personally think are fitting on average.

. .
In the end all said and done its good business and welcome.

On Personal note we have some business with SABIC and they pay good :-)
