He has basically taken out the anti-MB/Pro-Sisi/US ties members of government and replaced them with others. Also reports claim he refused to meet with Egyptian leader Al-Sisi. These are interesting developments, it seems King Salman has different direction in his mind....

This sounds like baseless news.

KSA will remain a close ally of the US and the West as a whole which is a good thing. Did you see the US delegation that arrived to KSA this Tuesday? It spoke for itself.

Al-Sisi paid his condolences in person last week.

There might be another approach when it comes to the MB. I don't know and I frankly don't care about the MB either.

I don't care about MB part. But, I didn't know how to describe those he removed. I doubt he would end ties with US. However these are interesting decisions by him. And the impression I'm getting from the comments on Arab media/social media are positive. People have good impression on what he did.

It's either USA/West or Russia. I know what I prefer and most Saudi Arabians/Arabs nowadays. KSA and China have excellent relations that date back decades. KSA's main trade partner is China.

I returned home 1 hour ago or so and I have not really read all the news. Will take a look and give my opinion.

Egypt seems like a lost cause unless the economy starts to grow for real and the corruption is combated. I frankly don't believe that there is any major difference between Al-Sisi, military dictatorship or MB rule. All the core problems will still be there.

For all I care the GCC should have a more isolationist foreign policy. The ME and Muslim world is on fire. Better stay out of the mess and continue the progress.

It's sad but that's how it is.

People are already blaming KSA for their incompetence and all their ills. If KSA did nothing they would blame KSA for doing nothing. "How can the country of Makkah and Madinah do nothing" would the song then be.

Let me know your impressions when you read the news. Since I am not familiar with the figures. And sadly, I have same opinion of you. The ME is on fire and now Egypt is blowing up....this never happened before in our history. Things are getting really bad I don't know how to respond anymore.

Let people kill themselves like wild dogs, let the so-called "resistance axis" (lol) play superheroes while being humiliated and laughed at by the entire world etc.

Tired of all this nonsense.

In the meantime GCC can continue the progress. We got universities, hospitals, industrial cities, dams, metros, airports, skyscrapers, ports, windmills, solar plants, nuclear reactors, railways, mosques, roads etc. to built.

The GCC should quit playing Santa Claus too and stop spending billions on ungrateful people that will never return the favor.

Isolationism is the key in the current times when it comes to the Muslim world.

Turkey, Indonesia, Pakistan, Malaysia and a few others should be the exceptions.

Do you believe GCC can possibly isolate itself? I don't even know if that's possible. If civil war breaks out in Egypt I'm sure it will affect KSA unfortunately.

Yes but it would come at a high cost.

If this current sad state continues and certain measures are not taken then we will see a civil war in the streets of Makkah and Madinah too. Just a question of time.

I frankly don't know what is happening anymore. I lost all hope. I once had great hopes about the ME as a region, Muslim world as a whole but they have mostly all been killed. It would be idiotic for me to continue the naive behavior and waste my time.

Thats a whole lot of 'exceptions'.

And Pakistan is on fire as well, though what happens in Pakistan, Indonesia or Malaysia does not affect GCC directly because of geography.

Then make it Turkey. Don't care. The GCC is not depended on any Muslim country.

No, its not. Its a good thing. Saudia is a pillar of stability in an ocean of fire. I agree with your assessment that KSA should follow a more isolationist policy.

The GCC alone has an GDP (nominal) of almost 2 trillion US dollars and the GCC is only second to China when it comes to surplus and wealth funds. When the economies of the GCC will undergo even bigger diversification (UAE is showing the way here) the economies will only increase in size and strength. It's just a question of time.
We got an ideal location between Asia, Africa and Europe, access to major sea routes, one of the youngest populations, not too many people nor too few and enormous natural resources.

What is holding us back is the neighborhood we live in, some idiotic self-imposed rules to please the retards among us and a few other issues.

If Germans for instance were ruling KSA and had all those resources and potential at their disposal KSA would be a richer version of Germany in the ME.

For the past many decades the GCC has grown on almost all fronts. Slowly but steadily. Even at times like this when our immediate neighbors in the West (Egypt, Sudan), North (Iraq, Syria), South (Yemen) and East (Iran) are burning or in a poor state.

People/countries/groups that have nothing to lose and are nowhere themselves try to drag us into their mess. I am personally not interested in their shit and tired of it.

GCC will remain an ally of our Western friends and allies that have never harmed us and I could not care less if foreigners are butthurt about that relationship.

We progress while they can cry themselves to sleep.

Would this government be lenient towards the Non-Saudis? There is no doubt about it Non-Saudis from all over the world have contributed massively towards the development of this country as far as infrastructure in concerned.

@al-Hasani dear brother i understand your views and frustration. at the end we all want the best.
but please let me add some information that might change your views.
look all what you see around saudi all this turbulence and wars. the main goal one way or another is saudi.
we are the targets. we as muslims and especially saudi cuz we are the representatives of true islam as country not as ppl. as ppl we have the bad and the good. they cant fight islam so they call us wahhabis
im not saying this as an opinion. i know this as fact. its a war of religion before anything else. then economy and politics.
as the american pentagon official calls it its battle of minds and hearts. and let me tell you this. it wont stop. im not saying this cuz i know the future. im saying this cuz allah and the prophet told us. and then analysing the west actions and reading their reports and knowing them. i know they will not leave us until they change the way we understand islam. thats what they said they will do in the RAND report. and in many other reports. they already started spend millions and billions and trillions on wars and media and psychological warfare. thank god with allahs blessings we muslims and saudi especially messed up their plans. they wanted a revolution they wanted sunni shia war. and most importantly they wanted a sunni sunni war. they achieved some and failed in a lot. saudi is officially at war. its a different type of war. a new type of war.
did you see the american delegation how important it was ? they were the major think tanks or players. they came to basically evaluate the new government. they are sizing us up.
so we are in difficult situation here. they are our allies but they are our enemies. i know it sounds crazy but thats politics. the big war is coming. not now but not far away.
one last thing. after the soviet union collapsed the only thing that stood on their way against achieving their new world order was islam.
