@Serpentine
This high profile visit would not be a mere photo ops. As it starts from KSA, there must be some tangible conditions put forth by Saudis for normalizing relations with Iran which NS presents with your leadership and of-course Iran have its own which will be reciprocated to our PM in the same manner, what would you say about it?

Sharif takes Saudi conditions for reconciliation to Tehran | GulfNews.com

I am not positive about sudden rapprochement between Iran and KSA and it was KSA that cut off diplomatic relations with Iran, so any kind of reestablishing of ties shouldn't require any pre-condition from both sides.

While they there, they should also give the message that in case Iranian land is used for terrorism in Pakistan by India, we will let all hell break lose on you. If we respect you as our neighbor, you should too.

Raheel Sharif reminds me of Stalin, he looks so serious, as expected from military guys.

Btw, what's that small wodden stick in Raheel's hand? He seems to always have it with him

baton of command or Cane of Command.

Well said !

Again the lives of Pakistanis not worth their time...

Our dear PM was busy holding meetings on Pathankot while on the same day there was a bomb blast in Quetta. And not one but two meetings in a single day on Pathankot but no meeting till today for Quetta.

These are the jokers ruling us.

just saw Sartaj Aziz on CNN on Pakistan's 'new' foreign policy and being a facilitator of talks between Iran/Saudia.

good luck, I wish Pakistan success in this diplomatic tightrope endeavour but I fear the divisions in the middle east just run too deep for anyone to do anything about it, here in south Asia our culture is different, the Iran/Saudia fight is an old Arab - Persian rivalry, the sectarianism that everyone is so heavily focused on is only a thin (but very loud) veneer.

Arabs and Iranians are our two arms, Pakistan grows stronger if they grow strong. Having them fighting is only going to leave us decapitated. It makes me proud that Pakistan came up as a mature state seeking to resolve a conflict between two friends instead of picking a side and escalating it.

the power of the 'islamic' nuke :D (no disrespect meant)

I'm sure there has been much backroom advice/diplomacy between Pakistan and the US as well as China.

Loving the role Pakistan is playing in mending the ties between the two significant muslim nations. It also highlights the importance of Pakistan as a muslim nation also.

If anyone ever had a doubt about Pakistan's relevance on the international stage, here is your proof of Pakistan's significance and its diplomatic

True, this is a good initiative, but then again it also shows that Pakistan is rather weak as a state. Since it still depends on two Muslim powers i.e Saudi Arabia and Iran for it's internal stability/security. This shows the Pakistani state establishment/internal security apparatus is very weak even compared to other smaller/weaker middle eastern countries.
No SINGLE COUNTRY in the Muslim world can cause such chaos/sectarian divide/instability in KSA, and Iran. This means these two countries are quite strong internally and have a proper functioning security/intelligence apparatus with decent living/educational standards as well.

Pakistan in my opinion should take a learn from this and find out why she is suffering so much from instability caused by the Muslim world two leading powers Sunni led KSA and Shia led Iran.:bounce:

You must learn difference in internal and external problems. There is no need to bring your pathetic politics in this matter.
