Saudi FM visiting Pakistan on Thursday, sources claim

Saudi Arabia gave their own plane to PM Imran Khan to visit USA
They gave dollars to Pakistan when Pakistan was in need
A friend in need is a Friend indeed

Where were they when Pakistan was in conflict with India, and India was being invited to OIC. Or where were they for Kashmir.

Don't be so dumbfounded. They are only protecting their business interests.

And what is Turkey doing? You think they will be acting like this when AKP is voted out?

Ok infidel. Infidel is the new boomer I guess.

Lets remind you of the nice things said and done by Saudi Arabia and UAE.

1. Mute on American and Russian invasion of Syria and Iraq.
2. Not even taking in 1/10th as many refugees as Turkey, Germany and other nations despite sharing border.
3. Completely destroying Yemen.
4. Funding militias in Libya.
5. Making love to Israel while Israel occupies Syrian Arab's Golan Heights, makes daily bombing runs on Syria and Iraq.
6. Professing new profound love for Israeli Arabs but Palestinian Arabs can go to hell.

And what is Turkey doing? You think they will be acting like this when AKP is voted out?

You are truly idiot if you think Turkey has ever changed its foreign policy with Pakistan depending if it has been the AKP or the Kemalist party in power.

ISLAMABAD: The Saudi foreign minister is expected to pay a daylong visit to Islamabad on Thursday in what appears to be a damage control exercise in the wake of the Kuala Lumpur summit which Pakistan announced not to attend at the eleventh hour under what Turkish president termed Saudi threats.

Prime Minister Imran Khan had accepted Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad’s invitation to the summit which was held from Dec 18 to 21 to offer “an international platform for Muslim leaders, intellectuals and scholars…to discuss, exchange ideas about the issues revolving in the Muslim world.”

However, Pakistan suddenly pulled out of the moot after Prime Minister Imran’s visit to Riyadh.
A Turkish newspaper later quoted President Recep Tayyib Erdogan as saying that Pakistan was pressured to stay away from the moot in which leaders of Malaysia, Turkey, Iran and Qatar participated.

Erdogan had ‘unveiled’ that Saudi Arabia threatened Pakistan to withdraw its financial assistance as well as to expel millions of its workers if it attended the gathering of Muslim leaders in Malaysian capital.

Saudis pressure forced Pakistan to skip KL summit: Erdogan

Following the Turkish newspaper report, Pakistan’s foreign office issued a brief statement saying that Islamabad did not participate in the Kuala Lumpur summit because time and efforts were needed to address the concerns of major Muslim countries, regarding possible division in the Ummah.

Saudi Arabia however dismissed the claim as ‘baseless’ and insisted that its relationship with Pakistan is beyond the realm of threats. The Saudi Embassy in a statement had also clarified that Riyadh neither threatened nor stopped Islamabad from attending the KL summit.

Sources in the Foreign Office, nevertheless, conceded that Pakistan’s decision to stay away from the summit stemmed from the Saudi reservations. They said the PM had travelled to Riyadh to assure Saudi Arabia that Pakistan’s participation in the summit would not undermine Saudi interests.

However, the Saudis were not convinced as they viewed the gathering of key Muslim leaders as an attempt to create a new Islamic bloc. Malaysia Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad had dismissed the assertions, insisting that the KL summit had nothing to do with raising a new bloc in the Muslim world.

PM Office ‘vetoed’ FO advice on Malaysia summit

Pakistan’s decision at the last minute to walk away from the summit discredited the country both internationally and domestically. What compounded the Pakistani problem was the public statement of the Turkish president which also put Saudi Arabia in a bad light.

Diplomatic sources said Saudi Arabia never wants to lose the public support it enjoys in Pakistan and Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah is believed to be visiting Islamabad to dispel such an impression.

The Saudi Foreign Minister will meet Pakistan’s top civil and military leadership and convey a message that Riyadh values its ‘long-term strategic partnership with Pakistan,’ according to sources.

Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates are the first countries, which extended financial bailout packages for the government of Prime Minister Imran Khan to deal with the balance of payment crisis last year.

This fiscal support and presence of millions of Pakistanis in both countries, who send annual US$9 billion in remittances, are considered to be a decisive factor in Pakistan preferring Riyadh over the KL summit.

The only thing that would've changed had a Kemalist party been in power is that there wouldn't have been a Turkey in the Kuala Lumpur summit but even that is a huge far fetch because Turkey is there in the OIC and if OIC is impotent, and while NATO is just trying to straight up bully, Turkey would search for other blocs. It is more than just a means to give Muslims their rights and voice, it's also to protect interests of countries with a Muslim majority in which Turkey is included.

Foreign policy with Pakistan has never been bad because a Kemalist party is in power. This is because unlike with Saudi Arabia and Arabs, our relation with Turkey is not solely based on religion, there's a strong historical background to it.

Of course I don't expect a dimwit like you to understand who can somehow justify his love for Israel out of the blue because there are many Arabs jews, but forget Palestinain arabs.

Buddy don't talk to me, TRT has gotten to your brain.

Oh **** off. Go hug a cactus. Dumb ****. GCC doesn't even love Arabs, it loves itself. It had any respect for Yemeni, Syrian, Palestinian and Iraqi "brothers in distress" then it wouldn't be sucking off America and Israel. Stupid fucks defending their stupid throne and money, nothing else.

If you really loved your fellow Arabs, you wouldn't be happy with this.

. . .
Even though I'm not a fan of PM Imran Khan and his Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf party, it was extremely disrespectful of how Saudi Arabia has treated the Prime Minister of a 207 million people.

Pakistan has been fighting a perpetual war for its own existence since its independence against a much larger foe and it's looking to change the route of its trajectory which is looking more and more heading towards a dead end. Here, we have Saudi Arabia trying to prevent Pakistan from mastering it's own destiny and blatantly interfering with the direction Pakistan is trying to go.

Thank you for the dollars, deferred payments, charity and jobs for 2.6 million Pakistanis as well as allowing billions of dollars in remittances to flow to Pakistan. However, Saudi Arabia must also remember the UK is home to 1.2 million Pakistanis (according to 2011 census) but the non-Muslim UK has never insulted and disrespected Pakistan like this.

Just for the sake of the Custodian of the Two Holy Masaajid, Pakistan is not buying oil and gas whether on loans or deferred payments from its neighbour Iran which has never interfered in Pakistan in anyway. Just don't forget that.

Basically SA and UAE has to cut off relationship with India due to Kashmir issue. Then PDF kashmir will be happy
Unrealistic considering economic ties between both countries. India can be a great partner for Arab states especially in the defense industry.

I do not know about others. But India can partner with any one based on mutual trust and respect.India and China fought war in the past and now aiming to have 100 b trade with each other.Same goes for Indo Arabs trade too.
Off late, SA and UAE started to take more initiative to invest more and more in our economy.

There is trust I think, India was going to license produce Caracal rifles but I heard agreement isn't fully signed yet. India has some nice air defense systems like Akash, and QRSAM that can be good for Arab states.
