Saudi cleric’s wife shows face on TV, sparks uproar

Just recently. The general denials of the real problems at home, may have made me act this way.

The denial of problems ? What denial of problems ? You can't seriously be telling me that you've been listening to some conspiracy theorists and their warped world view and have thus taken that as indicative of the general Pakistani psyche ?

I must be listening to some other brand of people - either in person or on the telly - 'cause everyone's conscious that this is a blow back from the Afghan Jihad but saying that doesn't mean that there isn't opportunism at hand here.

I would rather hear it from you.

First your guns were against wahabi's now towards deobandi's and i wonder how much time it's gonna take it towards Sunni's in general..there are other examples as well but let's not derail this thread any further

Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder my man :D. She does have sharp features.

Are you talking about the one pictured in that article? She is average looking for KSA standards. The wife of the Sheikh is in her late 40's. Nothing special either. She seems like a warm/very friendly women though.

This is for instance the famous Arabian beauty;

Saudi Arabian women are by nature cautious and introvert due to the mostly conservative culture but they have nothing to envy any neighbors in terms of look. Rather the contrary.

"Evil superficial manhood mode off".

Oh she is pretty too :enjoy:

Regarding the actual topic which I still believe is not the right subject to discuss on PDF as the platform it is. Reasons for that have been given by me earlier in this thread.

Akhi is she still married to the prince? I may have seen some miss information that they are divocred. She is indeed a classic beauty from the Hijaz mashallah.

Yes, they have apparently divorced now. Far too many divorces in KSA for my liking. It's not good.

She is actually a "evil Najdi" and from Riyadh. From a rather famous family and clan (Otaibah). Actually the tribe is originally from Hijaz but they like many other Hijazi tribes moved to Najd (and across the entire Arab world much, much earlier an some later) and settled there during the 17th and 18th centuries. So you can say that she is "Hijazi" in the ancestral sense, lol.

Anyway In today's KSA you have people from all over KSA living in all major regions of KSA. So it is perfectly normal to have Najdis living in Jeddah and Hijazis in Riyadh and intermarriages are common too. It's a bit different in the Southern provinces, Northern and parts of the Eastern Province though. Of course all provinces are mostly made up by local people but migrations are occurring and have for a very long time so it is a bit like in Pakistan and most other countries of the world.:)

In any case people in KSA have ancestral ties to nearby Arab countries and also non-Arab countries.
Due to the location between Africa, Europe and remaining Asia, being the largest peninsula on the planet and bordering major ancient sea trade routes and obviously the Hajj for 1400 years you got a diverse bunch of people. We got people from South Asia too that are nationals hence why some of us are mistaken for South Asians. For instance the Qatari Royal Family has partial Indian roots. We have many interesting looks among our people and I for once appreciate this.

Just look at our friendly Afro-Arab lot that make up 10% of the population. Very good people.

If Hassani don't invite us in his marriage ban him permanent...hehehe

I have seen in other thread Juba and Saudi Arabia and Imam Kaba were being ridiculed for no apparent reason... forum mafia is certainly not happy with presence of Saudi Arabians.
Why not Saudis leave... considering they are no welcome here?

Oh yes, so warns the great Mullah Zarvan bin Pakistani in every Islam related thread of reactions getting violent and people going haywire and God's wrath falling on people just because "his" demand or position on discussed thing isn't being accepted Lol A known subsitute for a rational debate, according to the hyper-religious kind.
Well I am just telling and you will see it yourself

Because then they'd win wouldn't they? We are here to stay, and trust me I have been here a long time and I have been through worse, currently I just don't have the patience to debate anymore, I am too old for that, I will let Hassani do it on my behalf.

And we are going to stay for a log time too, just to make their lives more difficult.

Your comment about Iran is utter wrong!

Head scarf is not a draconian law!
PS. Comparing Iran with SA is like comparing Sun with uranus.

There are two kinds of football matches, men and women. They can attend in women's football matches or any kind of sport. Please do put Iran and SA in one place.

My Iranian friends, patriotism and ultra nationalism is a strange thing. It makes us see things in a skewed manner. I believe we should be more open to admitting mistakes in our society. Iran is better than Saudia in human rights related areas but it is no heaven.

Why should a woman be forced to wear something. If we condemn France for its ban on headscarves then we should also raise our voice against people who force others to wear it otherwise we are hypocrites. Personally I love Iran very much and respect its strong foreign policy and independence of America. That does not mean I stop condemning the Khomeni's and gang who are responsible for many draconian laws in the country.

Do note it is possible to be patriotic and condemn our governments policies. I have met Iranians in Canada. None seems to be much too happy with the Mullah regime down there.

I've only read the OP but someone please correct me if I'm wrong:
In Islam for women Everything except the face must be covered whereas the face can be covered (i.e. it's a choice and not a necessity, yeah)?
