RIYADH: Saudi Arabia welcomed Egypt’s new initiative for Libya and president Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s call for a cease-fire in the country on Saturday.
The Kingdom also welcomed all international efforts aiming to stop the fighting in Libya and encouraged negotiations based on the initiative, called the “Cairo declaration,” and recommendations made at the Geneva and Berlin conferences on Libya.
The Kingdom urged both eastern commander Khalifa Haftar’s Libyan National Army (LNA) and the rival Government of National Accord (GNA) to implement a cease-fire immediately.
Saudi Arabia also urged both to start negotiating under the auspices of the UN in order to establish safety and security in Libya and protect it from foreign interference.

US and Bahrain already welcomed the ceasefire. Only Qatar and Turkey oppose it.

Qatar and Turkiye always supported ceasefire in Libya since 2019
but Russia,France,KSA,Egypt,The Uae ( Israel ) backed terrorist HAFTAR and terrorists from Russia,Syria,Sudan,Chad,Niger attacked Tripoli to destroy the UN recognized legal Libyan Government

and Turkiye-Qatar backed GNA kicked all of them
now Russia,France,KSA,Egypt,The Uae ( Israel ) are trying to save terrorist HAFTAR from GNA

AFAIK they entered Eastern Libya today. Sisi gave Sarraj 72 yours ultimatum 3 days ago to stop offensive on Eastern Libya or else Egypt will militarily intervene.

SARRAJ is leader of the UN recognized legal Libyan Government and HAFTAR is a terrorist.
Egypt directly can not fire even one bullet against the UN recognized legal Libyan Government , Libya and Turkiye signed military agreements and if anybody attack Libyan Government then Turkiye will kick them including weak Egypt

SARRAJ is leader of the UN recognized legal Libyan Government and HAFTAR is a terrorist.

Gaddafi was UN recognized and he was butchered by Eastern Libyan rebels. Morsi was UN recognized and he was butchered by Sisi. UN recognized doesn't mean US recognized. It is US recognition that is most important. Whoever US wants to kill, he is dead even if he is UN recognized. No one can save him if US wants him dead.

If Sarraj does not stop offensive on Eastern Libya by the time the ceasefire starts tomorrow then it is likely the US will kill Sarraj.
