DOHA, Qatar (AA) – Saudi Minister for Islamic Affairs Saleh bin Abdul Aziz al-Sheikh on Tuesday lauded his country’s “deep” relations with Turkey.

“Saudi Arabia and Turkey are one hand,” the official Saudi Press Agency quoted al-Sheikh as saying.

“Anyone who tries to undermine this relationship will be disappointed,” he added.

Al-Sheikh made the assertion one day after Ali Arbas, the head of Turkey’s Religious Affairs Directorate (Diyanet), concluded a three-day visit to Saudi Arabia.

Al-Sheikh hailed Arbas's visit, which, he said, had “served to confirm the depth of Saudi-Turkish relations”.

“The cooperation between us continues,” he asserted. “We are one hand.”

Arbas departed from Saudi Arabia on Monday evening after receiving a formal farewell at Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport.

Before leaving, Arbas thanked Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz for the kingdom's efforts in accommodating visiting Muslim pilgrims.

Wasn't it the Wahabi cult of Abdul Wahab which helped British to defeat Ottomans?

If big boys of ME collaborated hardly, we could have easly established one of the most effective economic and industrial powerhouse of the world competing with EU and USA but We are not clever enough to put our differences into a pocket to make a big industrial and economic collaboration like EU does. Our differences are being used by others to make us fight with eachother which is benefical for their industry, economy and geopolitical plans.

Is there something going on between UAE and Saudi after the south Yemen was captured by forces loyal to UAE from forces loyal to Saudi?
They might also make it look like that... time will show us whats coming next.. but one thing i can make you sure that Turkey will hurt UAE somehow in middle east because of their words.. There is no way Erdogan will forgive it...

Please stop playing Islamic card again and again...

@Sharif al-Hijaz

He would justify this act with his wahabi ideology.

Wiki:

First Demolition:

At the beginning of the House of Saud's nineteenth century (1806) control over Mecca and Medina, they demolished many of the religious buildings including tombs and mosques, whether inside or outside the Baqi,[12] in accordance with their doctrine.[2] These were razed to the ground,[4][13] and plundered for their decorations and goods.[6]

Second Demolition

The House of Saud regained control of Hijaz in 1924[4] (or 1925).[2] The following year Ibn Saud granted permission to destroy the site with religious authorization provided by Qadi Abd Allah ibn Bulayhid; the demolition began on 21 April 1926[4] (or 1925)[3]:55[15] by the Ikhwan("Brothers"), a Wahhabi religious militia.[16] The demolition included destroying even the simplest gravestones.[2] British convert Eldon Rutter compared the demolition to an earthquake: "All over the cemetery nothing was to be seen but little indefinite mounds of earth and stones, pieces of timber, iron bars, blocks of stone, and a broken rubble of cement and bricks, strewn about."[4]

Reaction:

The second demolition was discussed in Majles-e Shora-ye Melli (The National Consultative Assembly of Iran) and a group of representatives was sent to Hijaz to investigate. In recent years, efforts were made by Iranian religious scholars and political figures to restore the cemetery and its shrines, according to the Encyclopaedia Islamica.[4] Both Sunni and Shia Muslims protested against the destruction[2][15] and rallies are held annually[2][20][21] in Pakistan,[22] Iran,[23] and the United States.[20][24][25] The day is regarded as Yaum-e Gham ("Day of Sorrow") by many Shias.[15] According to the Encyclopaedia Islamica, prominent Sunni theologians and intellectuals have condemned the "unfit" situation of the al-Baqi cemetery but the Saudi authorities have so far ignored all criticism and rejected any requests for restoration of the tombs and mausoleums.[4]

Wasn't it the Wahabi cult of Abdul Wahab which helped British to defeat Ottomans?

It wasn't.

The uprising was led by the Hashemites under Hussein bin Ali, then Sharif of Mecca. He defeated the Ottomans with the help of the British and then himself lost to Ibn Saud.

Jordan is the only remaining kingdom which is of Hashemite origin. The rest were killed in the aftermath of the creation of Israel.

Ideology is the same.

Saudis are behind the fall of Great Ottomans. Due to this that, ummah is still suffering.

Can you forgive them for demolishing Jannat Al Baqi?
ummayads supported Arabs and hated non Arabs.
abbasids supported non Arabs and left Arabs to suffer.
ottomans supported non Arabs too.

it was all political division which forced situation like Bangladesh on Ottomans.
anyone familiar with the history can say that wahabis were right to fight the ruler of Arabia.
the same ruler was against caliphate. his sons were later awarded lands by British and other non Muslims for helping them. king of Jordan is his descendent , they were given Iraq.
