Pakistan needs to focus on energy independence with domestic mass transit, renewables, thar coal and shale. I believe this is achievable for us. Situation for KSA is not good for a number of reasons. We need to change our mentality and put our selves in a position offer help, not request it.

Getting rid of KSA is also equivalent to getting rid of any support from GCC/Muslim Ummah/OIC on Kashmir issue

What good has OIC done us so far?
The OIC is hostage to Saudi whims.
Other Muslim countries are as sick of the Arabs using it as a personal foreign policy tool rather than a forum for the betterment of the Muslim Ummah. If Pakistan leaves, other countries will follow.
The sooner the better. It's time we stopped towing other countries lines.

Not that easy.
The Saudis are doing this at the behest of the Americans, but the Saudis know that if they push us too far we will get closer to the Iranians via CPEC and China. This is American sponsored blackmail to pull us away from CPEC and China. It's not going to happen.
Finally we have a government that puts the interests of Pakistan first.

What clout do we have and what good is it being a founder when Kashmiris are being killed, tortured, raped and the OIC can't call a meeting at our request?
If we had massive clout Sushma Swaraj would never have been invited to the OIC meeting despite our objections.
It is nothing but a toothless vanity project.
