Legality is an issue only in official census. In unofficial surveys, both legal and illegal sections would be covered.What surveys lack is depth of a census.

Surveys have thrown up number of Hindus in SA between 165000 ( low estimate ) to 310000 ( high estimate) with an anomalous estimate of 390000.

And my point was that Hindus are miniscule in Saudi Arabia when compared to Indian muslims. ie if you meet a random Indian in SA, there is 97%-88% chance that he would be a muslim.
