If you try to build nukes without a proper excuse they will put sanctions on us like they did to iran.

It's not paranoia. What else do they have to gain other than Constantinople. They got Jerusalem, they got Spain, now they want the strategic Constantinople. They don't need to rely on the goodwill of Muslim Turks to control the bosphorus and black sea if they can get it for themselves.

Modern world slavery doesnt work like that. Occupying land is 19th centuries fashion.Even if they want to take istanbul(not constaninople) they could do it easily during/after ww2.
