No.Problem for USA is they have not found an alternative to assad that they can back fully in syria.Their 'moderates mostly are wiped out,fled syria or handed their US-supplied weapons to al-nusra and are very much weakened.Most rebels are islamists and ISIS.USA today even scrapped their training programme for syrian rebels.
Only secular real fighting force apart from assad is kurds,but they won't fight assad or islamists.They only want to capture kurd-dominated areas and hold them.They won't waste strength trying to take sunni arab areas which they won't gain permanently and instead saving their force for turkey.They will only attack ISIS upto a limited area and certainly defend against isis.
Russia and assad don't want to destroy ISIS just yet,ISIS is useful -its attacking the other rebels who are the main enemies of assad.Assad don't want to reconquer whole country,they want to keep the big cities - Homs,Latakia,Tartus,Damascus,Aleppo which and south and west syria,plus the coast -basically bulk of population and industry,most prosperous areas.Let ISIS rule in desert,they will only target ISIS heavily once they threaten any of these vital areas.The main russian-iranian-hezbollah-syrian attacks will target the other islamist and moderate rebels which are threatening these areas.Only if they manage to wipe out other rebels will full assault hit isis.ISIS as a military force is finished ,its way overstretched,financially bankrupt and fighting on too many fronts.It will collapse in 2-3 years.
See russia is doing better than USA is syria,not because its stronger than USA.But because -
1.Russia has clarity of purpose and defined mission.Protect assad.USA doesn't know who to back.
2.Russia has boots on ground to support with airpower -Syrian army,Hezbollah.USA doesn't except kurds who aren't doing any heavy fighting after kobani.
3.Russians less concerned about collateral damage in airstrikes.USA fighting with self-imposed limitations.

So it isn't over in any way.What russia did is now Assad can't be defeated atleast,even if he doesn't win.As long as russia backs him,with iranian and hezbollah manpower he can keep going.To topple assad now west has to convince russia to stop supporting him.Because the only other option is to attack assad with us fighters,or intercept russian airstrikes with american fighters -both of which mean war with russia.

Arab-Israeli wars are irrelevant today. Nor were even 25% of all Arab states involved in those wars and there is no need to talk about Israeli nukes, 100% Western support for Israel etc. In an all out war (exclude Israeli nukes and Western support) Egypt would be able to overrun Israel let alone the entire Arab world.

Do you understand the nature of civil wars? Arabs in those 4 countries are fighting for rights and progress that if they succeed will last. Do you understand that just 60 million Europeans between WW1 and WW2 lost their lives in the fight against Nazism and Communism? Or the 1000's of bloody wars that occurred in Europe since the Age of Enlightenment until WW1?

400.000 casualties in 5 years of wars/conflicts in the Arab world are really nothing. In that meantime the population (overall) has increased with 20-30 millions if not much more.

Syria is already destroyed and the main reason for that is the Al-Assad regime. Had he followed the option of Ben Ali or Ali Abdullah Saleh (initial one) Syria would not be where it is today.

Of course I support the removal of the Al-Assad regime along with ISIS and other evils as there is no difference between those parties. Syria needs to start from a fresh and I don't think that any sane Syria wants either party to rule.
