2- Lol, i agree with you they do have much more advance jets but you missed the whole point here, its not about what you have, its about what you might face in the future, and what are the best possible advance jets can be used against something possible coming in front of us, its called 'evaluating others capabilities'

3- Agreed, we can have proper agreements in place to protect what ever we deliver and restrictions associated with such deliveries.

The bottom line is, we have a product to sell and there is a buyer who is one of our closest friends. All of the 'concerns' can be taken care of. This is how tendering is done.

2- We should have concerns what if JFT evaluate by USA, Israel etc other hostile nations towards us... (USA and recently Israel army personal visited KSA bases to evaluate strikes on Iran)
3- Saudis as i know will never trust Pakistani/China technology, they always go for American ones and that is the mentality of people there, if its American Wallahi is the best one ,

National Guard will not got for JF.
They will go for the very best, for which they have each and every right to.

The impetus for National Guard's air wing is politics and not the actual force; you will need to understand Saudi Politics to know what is going on.

US already has much more advanced jets than JF-17s and there is nothing to learn for them. The reports of visits of Israelis to Saudi arabia was based on Iranian state propaganda.




They are already flying Pakistani made aircraft and have bought Chinese weapons. Saudi military is diversifying its arsenal and we should take the opportunity to sell our weapons and services.

And why ever not. It would be a huge triumph for JFT if Saudi Arabia with its coffers full prefers to buy JFT over all the other planes it can have..Also we are allright to run with our begging bowls to our Saudi brothers but not sell them a good fighter plane.Personally I think unless we are entering a robust pact of defence including air cover by PAF over Saudi airspace, it would be unlikely for the Saudis to buy JFT. The reasons are more due to the pressure on them from the West to support wesern products rather than anything else.However, if there is a comprehensive defence pact between Saudia and Pakistan with stationing of Pakistani forces on Saudi soil then Saudi might buy equipment for them from Pakistan.

There should be one target, Joint production, joint R&D.

Both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia can learn a lot from each other and contribute in each other success.

I dont think SauidArabia has the necessary manpower or the need to enter into a R&D with Pakistan. The ymay have acquired the infrastructure but i dont think their industrial base is at that level where they can support a project like this. Even if they wanted to i dont think they would be allowed to by the West. Saudi Arabia is a Goose that regularly lays golden eggs for the West. They are not going to let go of their golden goose so easily.

This is modern world. Having a heavy Class fighter and High tech doesn't mean there is no need of light fighter. Jf17 still has some advantages like low rcs and Intake DSI. I think KSA can use it as Light fighter for Escorts and maybe defence.

recently there are reports that israel army personal visited KSA and discussed how to deal with Iran Nuke and strike inside Iran and KSA is providing assistance in that too..

Israel's PM in UN addressed this in diplomatic terms that israel made new friends in a region to deal with Iran nuclear program and they will work together to strike on it
