I wish all the best for KSA and its people, i always have.
For the sake of debate, i believe that its important to highlight such issues so they can be talked about and get them out there for people to think about. That is how civil societies work.
For the issue of illegal immigration, KSA govt has EVERY RIGHT to clean up its market for reasons of its own. It also has a responsibility to provide reasonable employment for its own citizens.
My issue is that if a developed nation like KSA starts doing migration and labor reforms in an non-orderly fashion other states will follow suit. KSA must take care of the people that are already there on its soil, put them through legal checks and deport them humanely instead of detaining them for unspecified periods of time.
It also needs to find and punish saudi citizens that are engaged in exploiting the vulnerable people who at most care about proving everyday food for their kids back home.
