Saudi Arabia blocks Iran from Islamic grouping's meeting: Tehran

FEBRUARY 2, 2020

DUBAI (Reuters) - Saudi Arabia has barred an Iranian delegation from an Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) meeting in Jeddah on Monday where U.S. President Donald Trump’s Middle East peace plan will be discussed, the Iranian foreign ministry said.

“The government of Saudi Arabia has prevented the participation of the Iranian delegation in the meeting to examine the ‘deal of the century’ plan at the headquarters of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation,” ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi said, according to Fars news agency.

There was no immediate comment from Saudi officials.

I understand that Saudi royality is far from being a saint; Khashoggi episode is an obvious reminder. However, journalists can land in trouble in any country including in Pakistan. This comes down to whether you are in the good books of the state or bad due to your deeds. WE live in the era of interests-driven states.

Saudi nationals have a much better life-style than Iranian on average. Muhammad Bin Salman is doing much for Saudi nationals lately.

Both these countries needs to go and honestly OIC should be dismantled it's nothing but a Victoria Secret hang out, it has lost its purpose and isn't able to secure any rights of Muslims or protect them. IK made a mistake by not going to Malaysia and try to build a stronger counter block to this nonsense called OIC.

I visited KSA when I was a young man, I promised myself I will never visit this country again unless I want to perform Ummrah and Hajj.

I am a Sunni, but still the regime is despicable.
Despite having the option of entry visa on airport I have never entered Dubai also, despite passing through many many times.
The same story in most Arab countries, very strict police states. People disappear if they speak against Government.
Shameful behaviour all around.
