Oh cruel Saudi Arabia is at it again. Poor Indians are being deported how cruel of them....

About Employers holding onto the worker's passport this did not happen from day one. You see an employer pays about 7000-12000 ryals to get a worker and a trend started where the moment they come they dishonor the contract and go illegally to work on other things with a huge number of them in crime (Crime pays the most).

And about poor working conditions and bad pay if they did the same work and got the same pay Saudis get they wouldn't even be here. Saudis have a huge unemployment problem and those workers are the number one reason for it. not because Saudis are lazy or unskilled but because there is someone else who is willing to do the same job for extra hours and for less pay so the Saudi can't compete with those in the eyes of the companies.

This is an affront. India should bomb the hell out of Saudia. Oh wait, this is not news. Nevermind.

Are you drunk????

They will throw you ages back, whole OIC members will attack your @$$. Your SUPA PAWA theory is allowed only in India because India is great SUPA PAWA in india. Don't dream, troll & destroy every single thread. throw this in your brain.

Frankly ... Few members in this thread are very selective. I do live in Saudi Arabia for more than 11 years and I know the ground realities of so called " Professionals and unskilled " ASAIN labors and Arab MUHANDIS. But some time to me selective approach sound like racism. But that's true most of unskilled labors they came on Hajj or Umrah Visa and after few days I see they're the one excavating roads of Riyadh and other major cities.

well Saudi's do very wrong with Indian immigrants. I saw one Indian guy who was asking me to feed him since he had no job or anything in Madina.

Another Indian workers in the Four-star hotel in Madinah were promised to be paid around 1500 riyals per month, 8 hours shift and free accommodation etc... and they said they were forced to work for 12-14 hours a day and 1000 riyals with no accommodation or other facilities as promised before they were sent to Saudi Arabia. They had kept their passports if I am not wrong... so they could not just go back without valid documents :(

Good step by the Indian-Saudi authorities... I am sure it would have helped many helpless workers

The same can be applied to you.

Its funny because indians boast of their "biggest democracy in the world" and bash those "evil," undemocratic Muslim countries while you will find large numbers of indians earning and making a living in those countries, just goes to show the hypocrisy of indians.

Very sad to hear this, and i agree good thing Saudis deported those indians back to their country since they were already living in terrible conditions, in the end this decision was beneficial for them, at least i hope so.

This is an affront. India should bomb the hell out of Saudia.

Funny because just yesterday on a thread about "india developing strategic relations with Saudi" indians were boasting about how they will isolate Pakistan and cut of its support for the Kashmir cause by influencing the Saudis to stay neutral in case of Pakistan-India conflict/war and now here Bharatis are threatening to bomb Saudi Arabia, you guys really do overestimate yourselves :disagree:.

I thought India was going to be next superpower. Why do so many indians leave their "superpower" india to live in Saudi Arabia, UAE, U.S., Canada, UK., Australia....damn.....indians are everywhere!!!!!!!

I have read many stories about people going from south asia, and south east asia and getting ill treated by their employers, in the middle east. Some of the stories, really make your heart melt. I think these deportation measures, are in a way for their own good.

As for some people, taking pot shots at India looking at this article, i am not sure what to say. Many people go there with an aspiration to help their folks back home and, it is sad that they face such circumstances, but so is life. Hope immigration laws get more strict holding both employees and employers responsible for their end of the bargain.
