What's new

Saudi Apache crashes in Yemen.

No, it was rotor failure brother. Confirmed. It was the first apache lost in 5 months of war. The Houthi terrorist cult is desperate since they have been losing territory at a rapid speed in recent weeks. Most of Yemen is controlled by the Arab coalition (KSA and UAE mainly), the Yemeni government and allied forces now. Not only that the kill ratio is at least 1:30 in favor of KSA and the Arab coalition.

The Houthi terrorist cult will be forced to sit on the negotiation table not long from now. It's just a matter of time.
RIP to the pilots,
Oftopic: Damn u guys got some excellent flying machines

every one says it is technical failure that is the line and rule
i wonder what would happen if the Houtis was as armed and well trained like a military force

Anerican systems to muslims are no good

I'm still not buying that it was shot down. There was another apache hovering right beside it, he would've gained altitude and target the area from far. But it was still hovering above the site.
I know he could be just trying protect the crash site, but if there was anti aircraft equipment in the area, he would be ordered to leave it immediately, or get away from the firing range.

Zaher and Nasser Al Harithi - Al Qabas

Brothers on two sides of terror war die the same day
Saudi siblings united in kinship, divided in ideology

Two brothers who died the same day have plunged the Al Harithi family in Saudi Arabia into grief while bringing into sharp contrast their choices in life; Nasser was killed during an anti-terrorism mission for his country, Zaher died in a suicide attack he carried out on behalf of the terror group Daesh.

London-based daily Al Hayat said that Nasser was a pilot with the Saudi-led coalition to restore the legitimate government in Yemen and that he died when his Apache helicopter went down. Another pilot, Ali Al Qarni, was also killed in the incident to the extreme south of the kingdom.

Zaher was a technician working for the health ministry and not a doctor as initially reported by some news outlets following the suicide attack on Thursday on a factory near Samarra, north of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. The bomber reportedly targeted a gathering of Iraqi soldiers.

Daesh sources said that Zaher had joined its ranks two years ago and that he registered himself as a suicide bomber.

The sources added that he had a wife, who too was a Daesh sympathiser and that she was pregnant, and that Zaher had refused to delay the suicide attack until the birth of his baby.

The wife of Nasser, the pilot, too was pregnant, their brother Dakheel told Al Hayat. The couple already had a daughter.

According to Dakheel, Zaher had a diploma in nursing and was appointed in Tabuk in the northern part of the kingdom. He married his cousin, but left her for one year before divorcing her. He then went away again and the family had no idea about his whereabouts for two years, Dakheel said.

Brothers on two sides of terror war die the same day

same religious beliefs but different politics; one shakes hands with cardboard cut outs of the royals whilst the other fights for the caliph.

KSA should buy at least 50-70 Apaches and 70-100 AH-1 Super Cobras.

Sell of old ones.

seems like BS to me. just like teh BS sometimes FSA posts by tilting the camera sideways and then shaking it violently shouting Allah o Akbar. the ones that are real dont leave any doubt

@Saif al-Arab Can you verify this footage?

Looks like a rotor failure. There's no smoke trail or fire visible to represent ruptures caused when shot down. The video is carefully cropped to show the terminal descent phase but not what caused it.
this machine is indestructible. cant say the same about the crew when the machine crashes and the massive deceleration can cause death, I was wondering if it was something being dropped by the copter already flying because right at the end of the video, another object is seen dropping for a short period in the same manner.

Sorry this isn't a saudi site, ISIS beliefs aren't tolerated here buddy.

if you zoom you can see a second projectile but the heli was already plummeting by then.
video is confusing, a crashed copter still would have confirmed the claim though

The tragedy is one can't even bail out from a chopper. If the engines flame out, you're dead as a dodo! Though auto-rotation is the only option, there's no guarantee you'll survive on the way down due to the centrifugal force that can spin you at over 10 g!
