Congrats to Dr. Majdah Aburass, make us proud..... I hope someday soon women in our region ask and fight for their rights. You can't give anybody their rights, they have to ask and fight for it. This is not the case in our region, unfortunately!

The difference is a women can drive her Car in Syria, also she does not have to walk behind her husband or need his permission to leave to go to the store. Again Saudi Arabia is a tribal place where the top tribe the house of saud rules spending money on gold cars, Mansions and oh yes the gay princes two sets of rules one for them one for the population.

But she can't stay alive , what an intelligent answer.

I just come here supportive of our Woman's achievement but Iranians as usual feel the need to negate any good thing from KSA because they are the ones who are supposed to be the cool and oh so awesome ones in the region.

Akhi, we are all responsible for these unwanted complexity. If we place our national identity before Islam then no one can save us from dooms day except Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. :disagree:

By the way, my wife uncle is an associate professor in king Abdulaziz University. He make more mosari than me. I must say that Saudi Arabia takes care of their educators. ;)

Deno, you're a Turk. I think a syrian arab knows more about SA than you. Educate yourself. This thread is from a Lebanese website and they update it with all the weird stuff that happens in KSA. This is the country you're defending.

You have women being beheaded for witchcraft and there was even news last week about Iran "lighting up the shia crescent" because we're exporting electricity to our neighboring countries. Start reading their news and see what kind of a country you're defending.

Go see for yourself even the Most Islamist countries in the region are far ahead of saudi arabia on social issues. Saudis themselves have gotten a bad rep in the region look what Iraq PM said about them. Saudis are Tribal.

Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki has reportedly insisted that Saudi Arabia bears “a culture of terrorism,” alleging that the US-backed monarchy is the main sponsor of terrorism in Iraq with the aim of inciting a civil war there.

Newly released classified US diplomatic communication by the reputed whistleblower website WikiLeaks reveal details of US State Department cables on meetings between Prime Minister Maliki, General David Petraeus and US Ambassador Ryan Crocker in 2008 in which Maliki accuses Iraq's Arab neighbors of funding proxy groups to foment violence in an attempt to destabilize the country, the Al Jazeera network reported Friday. Moreover, in a May 2007 cable, the Iraqi prime minister stated to Petraeus and Crocker that "I told Vice President Cheney that (Saudi) Prince Muqrin is funding a Sunni army to oppose the Shia army."

Maliki then went on to add that the Saudis “have a culture that supports terrorism” and that if the Persian Gulf countries want to address the issue of terrorism then they should start with Saudi Arabia.

"If they (the Persian Gulf Arab states) want to talk about violence, maybe we should have a conference about Saudi Arabia. Most terrorists here are Saudis... The Saudi people have a culture that supports terrorism. The Saudi government cannot control it, and they cannot get rid of the terrorist institutions that are creating and funding terrorism," the leaked cables reveal. Since 2003, when former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein was deposed in a US-led war on Iraq, independent analysts persistently maintained that Saudi Arabia sponsors sectarian terrorism in Iraq to promote its influence in the region and weaken the civilian government in Baghdad.

She still can't drive a car and no amount of things will change that until she can hence saudi arabia remains in the stone age.

I didn't know the first man gone to moon was a drunken syrian who thought a bit more of himself than he really was.

.
Oh the Tribal thing? And him basically saying "Arabs are retards" was not offensive?? Maybe to you is simple facts, But again to you and everyone like you that is.
I basically didn't say that. I said you guys have a tribal and secterian society. Do you not?
Loyalty is based on religion and tribe in the Arab world and this is the norm from Iraq to SA. I guess Egypt is an exception, but I don't know anything about Egypt (do Egyptians still have the tribal culture?)

I sometimes ask myself... haven't those people (pro-Syrian regime) realized that their regime hasn't accomplished anything for four decades except RESONANT SLOGANS? Syria needs a century to reach other Arab countries level in all sectors. Thats a sad fact actually, free Syrians need decades to fix up what Alassad did to Syria in 4 decades.

I went on Al Arabiya last week and used google translate to translate a news article. It mentioned that Iran is "lighting up the shia crescent." The comments on the bottom were evern more retarded. That website simply gathers all the weird **** into one spot and for people who don't speak Arabic, it's a chance to see the dumb **** that goes on inside SA.

Abii you are getting info out of a hate group on the internet. You have no right what so ever to lecture anyone on anything regarding anything what so ever.

Until you learn to get your info from unbiased sources then come and talk to me. Until then continue to "Educate yourself" from these hate groups.

I know whats happening in KSA... I also know that they are doing reforms... If you expect them to change in one day thats impossilbe...

Even Mustafa Kemal had to dealt with tens of rebellion against Secularism while dealing with Turks who were very accustomed to west and its values...

KSA can deal with this issue by two way...

1) They can slowly move forward with reforms which they are doing it for ten years now.

2) Libertarians an start a revolt and things would get bloody... They will propably be crushed but even if they win. There will be chaos for 10-20 years... Rebellion is the last choice. Even Syrains would not revolt if there wasn't shooting against protestar at first...
