Hi Guys .. .There is private company called SATUMA. It would be very interesting if someone have insights about this company and there roadmap.

It appears to be a private organization which also does military projects. If someone from there can also talk about how civil military collaboration goes then it would be very helpful for the member here.

.
No roadmap - has done nothing interesting with the investment provided by the armed services - has shown no ability to invest or innovate - seems to think it can sit on its laurels and wait for the next goverment funded project rather than using previous goverment funded products as "seeds" to generate industry level products that can then be used to compete in the international market.

Everything on its website was goverment funded or a minor iteration of it as a "new product".

Most "private" Pakistani defence companies have this problem. No investment or innovation of new products.

SATUMA is a dead-end company - and you can see that with the goverment doing projects at NESCOM, and building Chinese and Turkish Drones in Pakistan now.

GIDS ( http://www.gids.com.pk/ ) is a similar company with a similar mindset problem. They have more products, but you can see that each one was goverment funded and each one is a dead end with no further innovation by GIDS. In short - they are waiting for the armed forces to fund further iteration of those products rather than taking it on themselves to innovate.

The Armed Forces have seeded these "acorns" but none of them have grown into trees and it looks like the Armed Forces have given up and is now doing things inside its own institutions.

Gids doesn’t build stuff, just markets NESCOM products

I had the privilege to visit and meet the founder of www.eastwestin.com
Back in 2008, the projects they were working on were quite remarkable ( that is all that I can say :D )

This would interest you. The company also makes decoys and has a drone for really high altitude extreme weather use.

Gids has recently developed their Shahpar-2 which is equivalent to Burraq and its already been used by SPD as displayed in 23rd march parade 2021

Have a look at Shahpar-2 details.

SATUMA is one of the oldest UAV companies in Pakistan, and they have worked with Pakistani armed forces for decades.

They're product line has stagnated and they don't seem to be innovating. As to why that is so, it could be because they were planning on a lifetime supply of government money that did not come. Or they did not reinvest their profits into R&D. Or a combination of the two. The description by @Ali_Baba below is good:

+1.

GIDS is not a manufacturer. It's a marketing front for NESCOM. All you need to confirm this is to look at "GIDS' product catalouge" and discover that everything in there is manufactured by one arm or another of NESCOM.
Do you plan on returning to Pakistan ?
That escalated quickly lol.
