LAHORE: Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar, the former Governor of Punjab who resigned from his post on Thursday says Pakistani institutions should follow the methods employed abroad.

Speaking to the media in Lahore on Sunday, Sarwar said Pakistani leaders travel abroad often, and questioned why they cannot implement the same methods employed there at home. He added, that he is hopeful that the situation in Pakistan will get better after devolution of power.

He said, he resigned from his post after putting much thought into it and dispelled rumours that he will be joining the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

Sarwar who had left his British nationality to become governor of Punjab province also rejected rumours of him applying for dual nationality again.

This guy is strange and has some hidden agenda which may not necessarily be a bad thing in his case. While leaving Governorship, he talked about the value of political workers that are hardcore diehards of respective political parties. He went on to say that he would fight for the rights of political workers in Pakistan. He also clamoured about dearth of truth in Pakistan's political spectrum which again seems to be a dubious thing thing to say on his part.

If we look on this filthy-rich guy's entry into Pakistani politics, the way he became Governor of Punjab was itself an anti-worker move. He used his personal relationship with British Prime Minister Cameron to grab the governorship post who directly requested Nawaz Sharif to appoint him to the subject post. The guy has no grass root contribution at all whatsoever in Pakistan's political horizon, and he only wanted to become in limelight as a frontline leader based on the Sifarish of British Prime Minister! What kind of honestly and political integrity he is talking about?

He repeatedly gave policy statements during his governorship which he was not supposed to do at all since the post of the Governor is merely symbolic in the parliamentary system as practiced in Pakistan - and Mr. Sarwar was perfectly aware of the limits of this status - yet he started commenting on democratically elected government's policies and failures which he was strictly not supposed to do, rather his meddlings touched the bonds of unconstitutionality in certain cases. Despite all the conventional limits to the post of the governor, he picked his timing to meddle with the working of the day to day governmental affairs. Initially he remained very quiet, and once his feet in Pakistan's political corridors were relatively established, he started showing recalcitrance and tried to become a leader on his own instead of just being a parasite as he was. Now he has resigned from the Governorship by releasing such statements that don't make any sense at all. Though the ideas he is expressing look lucrative and attractive, coming of such ideas from him appear to be the screams of an inflated chameleon who would emerge with a new skin color soon! God bless Pakistan!

he is a good person, atleast he speaks for reforms and especially LB. so I too wish that he had joined PTI or maybe join MQM. MQM needs to have a soft entering in Punjab.

I couldn't care less about Sharif brothers, nor I have any sympathy with PMLN. My party is Pakistan and my commitment is to decipher and dismantle demagogues like Imran Khan and Chaudhry Sarwar. Criticizing such people doesn't mean that I am favoring Sharif brothers.

Yes he seems to be an honest person
as he served UK as MP has a different view to see the things kinda different mentality compare with Pak Politicians, honestly he is fit for PTI as he is in Lahore and could win any seat if party give him support. Otherwise APML as they also need some powerful characters in Punjab, MQM have good relation with him and I don't think there is much difference between APML and MQM.

.
Oh good. There are rumours going on that he will make his own party.
