ISLAMABAD: Adviser to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz has emphasised the need for deeper cooperation between Pakistan and Afghanistan in the areas of security, counter-terrorism, border management, trade, transit and voluntary repatriation of Afghan refugees.

He was talking to the Afghan media delegation on Tuesday. The Adviser briefed the delegation about Pakistan’s continuous efforts towards peace and stability in Afghanistan. He stressed that a peaceful, stable and prosperous Afghanistan was also in Pakistan’s interest.

Sartaj Aziz should take advantage of his age and slap some sense into afghan govt first.

How can you have deeper cooperation with a government whose primary interest is to hide their failures by blaming Pakistan? If anything Pakistan should focus on programs that directly benefit Afghans and then drive a wedge between them and their corrupt government.

At first, all the credit goes to the Corrupt Govt. of Afghanistan who just for money forget who they are helping(India) and whom they are trying to isolate(Pakistan)...
Pakistan can't afford a conflict with any nation at this time and they are possibly doing what they should have done decades ago.Pakistan helped Afghanistan in its difficult time.If Afghanistan cooperate with Pakistan then that will be very good for both nations to have peace with each other
BUT believe me Letting RAW into Pakistan is SHIT!!!!

We can change the friends but not neighbor. Eventually Pakistan will setup some working group to resolve bilateral issues.

It is beyond me why Pakistan degradef itself and stood before NRO fame Mark Lyll Grant like a desi chobdar.
Colonial inferiority wont leave Pakistan civil and military leaders and bureaucracy.
Shameful attitude. A nuclear power has to go to the land of ex colonial masters and take old lecture how to be civil.

I second that. Mark Lyall Grant is notorious for the NRO. The evil which caused all the mayhem. Its a pathetic mindset. There should have been no talks till all demands of dismentaling terror infra, including Indian one, on Afghan soil are met.

Can someone tell me what this senile Sartaj Aziz doing? Is he capable of giving any advice to his boss? Could he speak before him? What foreign policy breakthrough he has achieved so far?

Funny thing is, there is a British NSA, Afghan NSA, and we got forigen adviser to "PM" doing Pakistan bidding. Where is Mr Janjua who is the Pakistani NSA?

Hopefully Sartaj Aziz will one day leave home and forget where he lives. Then we may get a foreign minister who was born in the last 50 years.

The border is becoming unmanageable on the Afghan side. There are weekly attacks from TTP militants constantly and Afghanistan is doing nothing to stop such attacks. In this time talking tough to Afghanistan is a requirement. The Afghan policy is mucked in hypocricy. They won't stop counting the lands south, lar pashtun, Pakistani pashtun lands as their own and will continue harbouring the TTP and testing Pakistan's defences through them. This is standard policy of Afghanistan. They have always been hostile to us. We need to go deep within Afghanistan to hunt down TTP terrorists. There is no other way. If they can accept America ruling them they can and will have to accept us because they are either inept at managing the border or are colluding with the terrorists.

Afgan is under NATO US control and then there is their sidekick, india.
These terrorists should be neutralized within Afgan....cant remember how many times so many peope asking for that. PA should plan a respons to tackle them in afghan. Waiting for attack then respond is next to stupidity.
