At the Maninagar event, Mr. Togadia claimed that VHP would declare Gujarat a “Hindu State” by 2015 besides having its presence in all 18,000 villages of the State in the next two years.

The event was organised by the VHP to launch a new movement called ‘Hindu Ahead, for Hindu Security and Prosperity’.

Invoking the issue of the “insecure Hindu,” the VHP leader said: “To protect and prosper, Hindus themselves have to gear up, by becoming true practising Hindus, aware Hindus and active Hindus.”

I'm an atheist but feelin ya Yeti! The UK is multicultural, multi-religion & secular, however, the British PM is on the record for saying the UK is a Christian country. Nothing wrong with that IMHO.

Let's look at India. The PM is on the record for saying Muslims have the first right to the resources of India, not the poor regardless of religion & ethnicity, vah-re-vah MADmohan Singh, well done, you deserve a pat on your back. Muslims get their travels costs paid for Hajj by GoI, but GoI can't even help Hindu's keep Ganga Mata at a decent level of cleanliness or pay for Hindus to go on pilgrimage. Talk about fairness in secular India.

It is impossible for Indians to sing from the same hymn sheet, far too many differences. It is a miracle India is still one country and not broken up by now. Time for a change or if things carry on the way they are, history will repeat itself.

BJP have to understand that people of India are more concerned about economical and infrastructure development issues,not some lost archaeological pride.

Modi has nothing to do with the Togadiya le chutiya.

In Gujarat he actually silently campaigned against Modi in the elections allying with congress and GPP and is just doing his level best to undercut his rising popularity across all sections of the population. I would not be surprised if he is tactically supported by the Congress which can use this boogey to herd Muslims into one solid vote block.

Narendra Modi meets Islamic scholars, leaders


GANDHINAGAR: Chief minister NarendraModi seems to be restarting his Sadbhavna Mission. Modi on Wednesday met around 25 minority leaders, including two well-known Islamic scholars - Mecca-based MaulanaMohmad Ali Maniyar and Dabhel-based Mufti VashadHanpuri. Modi also met prominent Muslim business families from the US and the UK and the representative of BhadhraPatharnaBazar (vendors).

The vendors are on the verge of losing their businesses because of the redevelopment of the area. The group was led by a leading Ahmedabad-based businessman, Zafar Sareshwala.

Modi talked on several issues relating to the development of the minority community in the state and the country.

Sareshwala said, "The meeting was organized to engage the minority community of the state with the government. The group discussed a number of issues with the CM for almost 50 minutes." Maulana Maniyar and other leaders congratulated Modi for his consecutive successes in the state elections and also wished him well for the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. "The CM listened to the community leaders and engaged in very warm dialogue," Sareshwala said. "The CM assured the vendors that proper arrangements would be made for them."

The group also talked about the development of the Juhapura area. "The CM said that a number of new TP schemes and other facilities have come up and more will come soon," Sareshwala said.
