sanctions on India?"India is going to find out,Sooner than you think." - TRUMP

lol, we will find out. If America actually sanctions India, India will have to live with sanctions.

What is going to be India's response if she gets the hit?
They would make an economic collapse of USA.
Because India has money and USA has no money.
They are basically running on Indian charity.
They cannot afford to anger India.
These statements are for trump public consumption , that's its .

Continue as planned. US didnt put any meaningful sanctions on China for breaking CAATSA (sanction on a bank and some of its directors w.r.t any US presence and thats about it)....and that's China (who US sees as far larger threat than India). So very unlikely any US sanctions (if they happen) will be anything more than the China ones on the issue....probably lot less. Indian banks handling the Iran and Russian trade have very little international (US) exposure...and shell companies can be made as required too.

USA will ban existing support for C-17 ,C-130J, apache and P-8 of Indian armed forces. These system without continue US spares and support will not in just few years time. :enjoy:

You can hope for it as much you want. Wont happen. It was already negotiated what US response will be during Pompeo 2+2 visit. You can sit back and watch.

India will have zero impact that is why India has not made payments to Russia since April.

Sounds about right.

Donald Trump isn't really the kind of person who has "friends", he has people who are useful to him, and people who are not useful to him. Right now India is useful to him, whatever sanctions he places to soothe his ego won't have much material impact. They will piss off a lot of people though.
Here what you are forgetting is that CAATSA was invented for India so that India shifts to USA arms market and Trumps policy is to get more business for USA so he is going to come down hard on India to get dollars for him self and more jobs for USA.

China is least of Trumps concerns when it comes to weapons because USA will never sell weapons to China. The very purpose of CAATSA is make India leave Russian market.

Will be interesting to see US response. Could be as you have pointed out -- if China and Russia are taken as a yardstick to measure US anger and wrath, then India's share of US anger will be relatively small.

Could be out of proportion, as well, if Trump thinks he can make an example from India for other countries.

It is difficult to predict what is going on in the US foreign policy because it is now strongly attached to domestic policy.

Trump will calculate the opposition's reaction. Now the question may be: Is the US opposition warm or cold to India? Trump will likely go to the opposite direction.

I agree with you. It will be interesting to see if Trump will make an example out of India by using CAATSA.

Interesting times ahead.
