The irony is that Samsung is selling 'made in India' handsets in China, and Samsung is selling 'made in China' batteries for handsets in India!!

my samsung note 2 zindabaad, though its China made, but loved my LG optimus p500 Aka LG optimus one made in Korea. last but not tye the least Android > Apple ios.

For all the talk about Android and iOS, no one is talking about the dark horse - Windows Phone. Having used all 4 OS es - far Windows OS is the most tightly integrated and fluid OS out there. I wouldn't be surprised if in the next few years, Windows OS topples the iPhone to become #2. Sad, but Blackberry is dead and buried - shame - because they practically created the market for Smartphones.

I got this phone 20 days back.

It's processing power can beat the crap out of those so called high end phones.

It's got 1.6 ghz atom processor

I had a full hd video that i was not able to play some of the core2duo laptops

but it plays it buttery smooth (even my core i5 (first generation) laptop won't play that smooth)

the best thing is i was running my phone's processor at the lowest clock speed at 600 mhz ( and i didn't know that )

the only drawback is battery

Some questions about this mob. please ans ..
does it support all current smartphone games. ?
What is the desplay quality in sunlight ? . what about touch. jelly bean is ulgradable or not ?
what about the camera quality. and in night mode, in dark also. Howz pic clarity in both case ?
is video recording HD or not ?
I heard people faced signal problem in this problem. Like in moving conditions, sometime there are no signals. So did you ever face any such signal problem.

Have to buy 1 mob, and i am thinking to buy Indian company mob, so i want to know all this..

Tablets are mostly imported from China ,because demand is huge and indian manufacture cant make it all here.

yeah me too wondering about it. i read an article somewhere on internet that Indian Govt is going to loose its big pockets for manufacturing industries if it goes this way then we will see some results in next 2 or 3 years.

microsoft's entry and monopoly will be the worst thing to imagine. they made generations brainwashed and dependent on windows os and now, they won't allow other OS in PC's(read: UEFI secure boot sh1t). we must rather promote android, the best thing that has happened in mobile platform. imagining a paid "locked down" system in mobiles with windows os will make another generation of slaves.

At the end of the day, you get what you pay for. It is just a big screen - there is no qHD or Amoled or Super Amoled, there is no Gorilla Glass, there is abysmal RAM and the processors they use are an older generation. Is there a market? Sure, there is. Are they great products? Certainly not.

by the way i see it micromax is certainly ahead over samsung in its range.more cost is not equal to great quality.cost of samsung is more because their activities are in many countries so have to pay taxes in many of them plus indian duties on the other hand micromax has comparably smaller market and is indian so no duties and lesser taxes and more features ..is it so hard to understand??at the end of the day ppl get carried away by the brand names..

Yes,that's a big concern.But Micromax was founded more than twenty years ago and all it's plants are in india. Nobody untill now claimed their products are actually made in China. You can start a probe on that

I haven't come through any application yet that doesn't work on this phone

as i bought it for my sister, I haven't checked display under sunlight

touch is just superb (comes with gorilla glass)

this phone comes with gingerbread on board but one can update to icecream sandwich (no jellybean updates yet)

I haven't checked the camera (review says the camera is average) and comes with full HD video recording and burst mode

signals are ok (no problem till date)

this is not a indian mobile as it is manufactured by gigabyte for intel in hongkong (just a rebranded product)

usp of this mobile is it's processing power

but battery is seriously lousy due to it's lightening fast processor

hope i cleared all your doubts

You are comparing the flagship Micromax phone to one of the cheapest Samsung models in the smartphone. Yes, brand does command a premium - after all there is something called brand equity. I am not dissing Indian manufacturers - they have a pretty big market for their products and they have cornered a very big chunk of the marketshare in India. They are great for the developing world - am sure they would crack the African market too. All I am saying is that comparing these phones to flagship phones like the Galaxy S3 or Lumia 920 is wrong - the Indian manufacturers are just not catering to that market.
