But on a serious note, salaries have really increased. If not basic pays than Government has included many allowances.

For Civilians even who work in Military or Police department, Federal Government, Prime Minister, has just a week ago approved an allowance titled : Risk Allowance.

I dare disagree with the above mentioned salary packages of Pak Army. Recently due to twice increase in a Financial Year in the salaries of Pak Army + Other forces (Including Police), this has changed a lot.

An ordinary Constable of Police even takes Rs. 20,000, what to talk of Pak Army.

A Lt with 2 years service if stationed at a normal location is getting a Gross salary of around 23K-24K, net would be less after deductions.

But if its a hard area then add 6-8K as allowance and as for the operational areas, that is slightly more.

A Lt Col with about 20 years experience in a normal station gets a gross salary of about 60K-70K, similarly is hard area or operational area, it would be more.

So the salaries are not equal across the board, rather the allowances make the increase and decrease.

A Lt Col with less experience has less salary, in PA a Lt Col is made at around 16-17 years of service, so definitely his salary would be around the 40-50K area, while i said a Lt Col with 20 years or may be a year or more has the above salary figure, so 3-4 years difference, the salary does rise that much, as in Pakistan for the last few years, the raise by the govt has been 10-15 percent annually, that includes the whole govt in it, not just army. Only last year, especial allowances were announced, that also just for the operational areas, not across the board.

By the way in the previous page, the Indian member quoted a max of 65K for a Major, so if that is true, then the Lt Col of IA would be getting somewhere 70K-80K or may be more and the full Col, 80k+.

Much more then what is the figure wise amount on this side.

Now days guys in the military enjoy good salaries nevertheless in Past i have seen brigs having not enough money to pay electricity bills , Thanks to Musharaff ppl in the military have ample money now...!!!

my cousin get's 40k monthly as flight leftinent 4 years experience. A house/flat, car, servent, free plane rides for family, car. Plus an retirment fund.

n 5 years ago he started at 20k.

THE INDIAN NAVY OFFERS THESE PAY SCALES & ALLOWANCES TO THE SHORT SERVICE COMMISSIONED OFFICERS

The Pay Scale criteria is as follows:-

SUB LIEUTENANT PB-3/15600-39100 -- 5400 -- 6000
LIEUTENANT PB-3/15600-39100 -- 6100 -- 6000
LIEUTENANT CDR PB-3/15600-39100 -- 6600 -- 6000
COMMANDER PB-4/37400-67000 -- 8000 -- 6000

Allowances (as applicable). The rates of allowances applicable to officers are as follows:-

1)Technical--Technical Officer 2000-5000/pm depending on course qualified

2) Instructional-- All Officers posted as Instructor 1800/pm

3) Flying Allowance --Qualified Pilot/Observer 9000-14000/pm

4) Submarine-- Qualified Submariner 9000-14000/pm

5) Marcos --Qualified As Marcos 9000-14000/pm

6) Diving --Clearance/Ships Diver 800/400/pm

7) Sea going-- All Naval Officers Serving 4200-5200/pm on Onboard Ships basis of Rank (Sailing Only)

8) Uniform-- All Officers 16000 (Initial grant) & 5000 (Every 3 Yrs)

9) Hard Area --All Officers posted in Hard 25% of basic Pay Area as declared by Govt.

10) House Rent --To Officers not provided Govt. 10-30 % of Basic Pay
Accommodation Band +Grade Pay +MSP)

11)Transport --All Officers 1600-3200 ( + DA thereon)

12)Club/Sports Facilities, Furnished Govt. Accommodation, Car/Housing Loan at subsidised rate.

13) Group Insurance & Gratuity-- Insurance cover of Rs. 30 lakhs (on contribution) and Gratuity will be granted to the officer as per the latest rules in vogue.

14) Leave Entitlements-- On Commission, officers are entitled to 60 days annual and 20 days casual leave every year (subject to service exigencies). They are also entitled for 40% rail concession to any place and free travel (as per extant rules) for self and family. Leave during training period will be as per the Training Policy in vouge.

After the successful completion of training a commissioned officer in the rank of sub-lieutenant in the navy will be paid a minimum of Rs 27,850

They dont need actually salaries lol they already have everything almost "FREE" in Pakistan lol. Have you guyz seen military walk in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Lahore, Punjab ? and Airforce officals walk in Karachi ? lol

And guys... whatever the salaries are.. the perquisites they get would normally increases their total ctc. Almost all items are subsidised for them!!!
