yet bhagwat gita and ramayan and whatnot is quoted everyother day here :coffee:

I guess the reason is member can't handle the criticism/views of others on Quran & Hadith.
say no to killing is preached in the Quran if we are not allowed then we should say yes? :o:
Patience is also in the Quran does it mean we cant be patient on this forum? :o:
Being thankful is all over the Quran, does it mean on this forum only the opposite is invited? :o:

I could go on!

People can preach us their religion but god forbid something from the Quran finds its way to the forum :tsk:

Let me elaborate. In the story of Mahabharat, Yudhisthira was the king who was famous for adhering to the law and delivering justice. One day there were four people brought to his court for colluding and committing the same crime together. The four belonged to four different castes - A farmer (belonging to the caste of Sudra), a shopkeeper (belong to the caste of Vaisya), a Soldier (belonging to the caste of Ksyatriya) and a teacher (belonging to the caste of Brahmin).

Following was the order of the hierarchy and the punishments delivered for the same crime that they committed

1) Brahmin (highest caste) - Teacher - Death
2) Ksyatriya - Soldier - Life time jail
3) Vaisya - Shopkeeper - Monetary Fine
4) Sudra - Farmer - left with a warning

What? AAP & Onion scam? No way...mom | Page 3

Hindu dharma (law) does not paint all with the same brush. In fact, it uses the much maligned caste system to deliver maximum punishment to the highest caste and lowest punishment to the lowest caste for the same crime.

If Pakistanis can also handle the comments about Allah, Quran & Hadith the way comments are made on Hindu gods, their practices and scriptures than sure it should be allowed. But internet mufties here can't even tolerate the disagreement with religious fellows and hand over decree of being kafair.

handle? You mean unified crying until the post is deleted and the poster banned or given instant negative rating plus a warning?

Hmmmm...I am sure we can manage such handlingsss!

So quran and hadith are not allowed to be discussed on a forum representing a country founded on Islam, but discussing Reham Khan's helicopter trip is very intellectual way of spending time?

Would you be happier if we posted a picture of Eid prayers?

Rules are made to be followed. Otherwise, why have them? If some rules are not liked, then there should be a process to change them. Ask @WebMaster for any changes.

We had allowed quran/hadiths but that resulted in its criticism and bad mouthing by non-believers. So it is banned now.
Quran/hadith should be allowed among muslims n gita/mahabharat/ramayan should be allowed among hindus.......

Cross references n flame baiting should result in perma bans

I think your intentions are good. You are thinking that the Noble Quran should not be mentioned in a place where people will attack it or mock it and not show respect. But the Prophet and Muslims were ordered to give the message of quran to those who listen and ignore those who don't.

Non-believers bad mouthed and questioned it during that time as well, but the Prophet never stopped preaching it, and Prophet was a better man than us, and I am sure that he thought of what you think as well since he feared Allah even more.

"We are most knowing of what they say, and you are not over them a tyrant. But remind by the Qur'an whoever fears My threat." Quran, 50:45

YOU are not responsible for what they say. What they say and write has been heard and recorded, you will not be questioned for what they do. I hope I was able to present my point appropriately.

Ok that is good...But how is this rule stopping every thread being turned into bash a Muslim, the Quran, its rules, question its laws coz Muslims are not allowed to correct you so you get away with it attitude???

Also do tell me how should we handle expert indians going out of their way to showcase their PhD in Quranic studies when we cant reply them with references?

The indians here know we cant reply if we do reply they ask for references when we give, we get instant warnings are reported and a cry baby posts the rules - no religious threads! All coz we tried to fix a misconception!

Please stop being biased and slap them a ban! There was an indian saying "I know it is haram to be a vegetarian ......"

And no one could clarify or wake him up from his stupidity!

We are used to the abuses against Hindu/Dharmic faiths, practices and scriptures... etc.I for one don't mind much.

In contrast whether any part of the Qu'ran can or can not be discussed is for you all to decide.

I think there is a distinction between indulging in some religious discussions and opening whole threads based on religion alone. But that is for you to decide. Just don't drag Hindus/Hinduism/Buddhism, Sikhism etc into the fray.

Thanks.

Please note that "-religious proselytizing-" is banned for good reasons, no matter which religion, just like this thread. It is a pity that the courage to enforce the rules is not present as it should be to ensure compliance.

Can you quote where anyone is "proselytizing" on this thread?
