I dont know the exact Fuel Consumption of a Kiran but still with my guess it should not cost more than 20,000-30,000Rs with the current rate.Now consider the headlines it will make and compare it the money IAF spends in the advertisements which is in crores.

So the comment of wasting taxpayers money is nonsense.

And its not compulsary to always be an Idiot and derail every thread with Anti-Govt nonsense.

Cant these dumb people understand that they are reducing the life span of these aircraft's worth 1.6 billion ??
IAF offer them mig 21 instead of sukhoi 30mki.

This is a PR exercise, when a Dhoni flies in a su-30mki, the youth esp. males get excited to join the IAF similarly for Saina Nehwal (esp. for female population). They are youth role model, every youth looks upto them, it's the best thing IAF can do to attract the country's citizens to join the armed forces.

So Sukhoi and Mk2 are of similar capabilities ? Because Dhoni was offered Sukhoi trip and olympic medalist was offered Kiran Mk2 ?
