Saif-ul-Malook ; The Lake of Fairies in 1870's

. .
Me and about 8 friends trekked this lake on horseback some years back. Photos do not do this landscape justice. The highlight was listening to the poetry/singing of an old man singing the story of saif ul malook over a campfire.

.
There was a Pakistani poster on this forum sometime back on a different thread that said he camped out here a while ago. He said he went to go take a piss at night and saw strange creatures that were very small and oddly shaped running around the grass in the moonlit night. He said it scared the shit out of him.

.
Already fooled my younger brother with this tale when we were in naran .
At 6:00 am he woke up everyone , let's go there'll be fairies there we gonna see them .

This manuscript, written in Persian, contains the story of Prince Seyf ol-Molûk and Princess Badî`ol-Jamâl. The manuscript was probably written in India and illustrated with 32 miniatures. At the end of the text (f. 56v), the scribe dated the manuscript in the year 1033 (in the Islamic calendar). The story can also be found in One Thousand and One Nights (758th to 778th night, edition Calcutta II 1839-1842).
