Nationalism and religion are two taboo subjects in Germany today, and as you've correctly mentioned, their previous experience with Nationalism is always taken in perspective while making any Nationalistic assertions. Germans today take pride in their culture more than their Nation, and anyone who's overtly expressive about his/her Nationalistic views is carefully avoided, if not shunned.

Where did you get that translation? In this verse it is referring to scripture meaning it is referring to the Ahle Kitab. Here are 6 transliterations all of which either say scripture or book.

By your definition Muslims can even marry Sikhs because they are supposedly monotheistic but that is wrong because Sikhs are kaffir.

yes..but for them,they have no issues to give their daughters to an Arabi or a pattani from mysore(even though they are well aware about the possible danger behind it)....many take it as a credit,status symbol or pride....we know,what happened to those poor girls after they get pregnant or after maduvidu or aadhyarathri..
